The Street fighter has what it takes to be popular like anime like One Piece.

- Charismatic characters.

- Akuma or Gouki could be the equivalent of Itachi of Naruto. The iconic villain that the main character  has to defeat.

- Dan Hibiki could be a great comic relief that reminds me a lot of Gai sensei. They have an over the top atitude, the bad ass outfit which is beyond ridiculous.

I am starting  to think that the Naruto universe was heavely inspired by Street fighter alpha unverse. Akuma's speech to Ryu reminds me a lot of Itachi's speech to Sasuke. Bison the tyrant wants to take control of Ryu's body to dominate the universe is similar to Orochimaru who wishes to take Sasuke's body for the same reasons. For those who follow Naruto recently, everyone knows that Sakura vs Karin will happen. That reminds me of Sakura and Karin rivalry in Alpha 3. That is not a coincidence.

You are right in your analysis. and if NAruto became a crazy successful series  (hell its like a phenomena) in the whole world i am sure Street Fighter can do better.

It just needs the right staff, good animation studio (preferably mad house or production ig) the right writers (masahiko nakahira FTW)  the right action (sf2 anime movie rules) great music (sf2 soundtrack remixes) and a decent to good voice actors (sf4 voice cast is awesome) in sf 4 announcer voice: "and there you have it theeeeeeeeeeeeeee ultimate street fighterrrrr anime series"

I will pass your feedback and suggestions to licensing (who is responsible for such things).

It should be obvious but any fan of SF would love to see an accurate representation of the series in anime form. I wonder what the sales figures of the Udon comics are? If thats any indication on how much people like the SF story then even more would be interested in an animated version.

I know I´m in the minority here. But for whatever it´s worth, I really hope they never make another SF anime. If they do, I won´t watch it. I´ve had enough disappointments in this life already.

I would Love Love Love if they did the art style similar to the SF II Animated movie.

Im not a fan of the soft-looking art style they did for the game cut-scenes. Theres a huge thread going on right now of respecting the SF II Animated Movie. Im still in awe of the art detail there. It doesnt have to be as detailed, but it'd be nice if they took a break from "naruto" looking characters and that kinna art style fit to attract a much younger crowd.

The in-game anime cut scenes were "ok." But I think with a high budget and time they could do a lot better.

To be honest, I think the studio 4c has done an amazing job to capture the expressions of the characters.

Sakura's happy go luck personality made me laugh in the " ties that bind". The musics they chose were awesome.

I think I am a minority but I actually prefered the the " Ties that Bind" over the Street fighter 2 animated movie for these reasons:

- I felt much more involved with the plot than the other movie. I kinda like the part when Ken was a CEO because that part felt depressing. It was definetely more interesting than Ken going somewhere fighting and then asks Eliza " Hey do you wanna marry him". It was not insightful enough.

- Sakura and Akuma are two of my favorite characters were there. I loved the way Seth talked about Akuma without saying his name created some sort of mystery. I also loved the way they say that Ryu has a potential that could even surpass him. I loved the part where Sakura stopped Evil Ryu that was quite emotional.

- I know that the animation of the SF2 movie was superior and more realistic. However, superior animation does not make it better. For example, Resident evil 5 is obviously superior in realism compared to Resident Evil 2. Ironically, Fans considered Resident Evil 2 a better game because it is still scarier than RE5, it had a more engaging plot, a superior atmosphere, a specefic use of the PS1 engine which was to make a scary game. My point is that realism does not make things necessarily better.

- This how I felt during the SF2 movie that they were fighting just for the sake of fighting. Still, it was a great movie with great action sequences but I wanted more development. That is what makes the SF4 movie better because the fact that they talk a lot about how they feel makes you care more for them. The fact that the fights are rare makes you focus all your attention when it happens.

- When Ryu transformed into Evil that was epic because it gave a little taste of what Akuma's true power looks like. The way he owned Viper suggested a lot about Akuma's strenght.

- The movie suggest a lot and create mystery. In consequence, it made me more excited.

- It is a movie about fighting but a good plot makes it even better. Akuma's is iconic because he has an amazing design, a vision on the meaning of the fight that is very interesting. If people ony care about fighting let's not even give Gouki a personality, let's just make him drink tea in his win pose after all people only care about battles not the story thus the character deveopment. It takes time and research to create great characters.

- On the whole, Studio 4c is a great choice for an anime serie. Just rewatch the Akuma vs Ryu trailer because it speaks a lot about the studio's talent. You could feel during the fight that they are not two random guys fighting. You could feel the emotion during the battle because we know that they fight because they have strong beliefs. The atmosphere and the set captured their personalities perfectly.

Yes SF2 was a superior movie in terms of technology but it was inferior in terms of emotion.

By the way Strogler, I found on youtube someone who makes a fan Street fighter canon  storyline by using mugen. Another great piece of art by a fan that loves Street fighter with a passion. It tells the story street fighter 3 also but you have to search it more because youtube modified accounts badly.

See you guys
