Steal the show?

You know, I have very, very low expectations right now. I don´t expect Capcom to develop Cammy´s story or her character or do anything really interesting with her. I know she´s a minor character. I have given up hoping she´ll ever be more than that. I know now they only have her here as fanservice. I don´t think anyone else sees the great possibilities her character has.

I´d just like her to be given a decent fight scene. I don´t even expect her to win anymore. I´d just like to see her actually fight.

But you know what? I don´t think even that is ever going to happen, since she was only included in TTTB to play the part of the helpless victim.

If TTTB is any indication of what I can expect from future SF anime, then I never want to see another one for as long as I live.

I do not necessarily agree, Sakura Ganbaru! is an exception. Sakura had great character development and even Cammy plays a good role in the story and she has a decent fight.

Unfortunately, there`s no Sakura Ganbaru! anime. It`s anime we`re talking about here.

That I would have liked. A direct adaptation of some of Nakahira`s manga to anime. Nakahira has some of the best SF stories around. He even made a Cammy manga, though I think asking for an anime adpatation of that would be too much.

Also, what PG>C said. Wholeheartedly seconded.

Well, Strugler mentioned in his ideas that an adaptation of Sakura Ganbaru in anime could be used to introduce Sakura's character and Cammy.

By the way everyone, what are your favourite moments of Ryu final ?

best ryu final moment:

Ryu vs Dudley

don't wanna spoil it but the finisher was awesome!

The Street Fighter Anime should feel like we've entered a world where these characters truly exist!  This is why Naruto and Dragon Ball has existed for so long!  We don't need the anime to be like Naruto and Dragon Ball, we need it to follow their formula. (GIVE US DAN FILLERS, HAHAHA)

I'd also love to see how Madhouse would draw the sf characters, you know they have their own style!

Well madhouse has their own style when it comes to original titles, like ninja scroll, vampire hunter d, they were free to do anything since ninja scroll was a new ip and vampire hunter D was an 80's old anime.

However madhouse can also respect how the characters look like. Just look at death note the anime made by madhouse based on the manga of the same name.  the characters look exactly the same on tv as they do on paper.

Edit: Yeah Ryu isn't as strong as Superman or as fast as the Flash but that's not the point of the vids . the point of the vids is to show physics and speical effects.

I've always wanted to see a full-length SF anime that was divided up into different stories like Pulp Fiction. That way the producers wouldn't get too wrapped up with the main character (though his segment should be the longest) and everyone from the cast being used gets ample screen time. With SFII for example, you'd have a story focusing on Ryu and Sagat, another on Guile, Chun-Li and Cammy, and another on the four lords. Everyone else gets to fit into one of these stories, and help move the plot or tie things together instead of being a simple cameo.

Only scrubs think 3rd Strike is the best Street Fighter of all time.

It'd be nice if they did something small to come out around the time of SSFIV's release, similar to Ties that Bind (just dont make the actual anime quality like Ties that Bind, try atleast one step up.) After that success, it'd be great if they went hardcore and did a movie with the same quality and thought as SF II Animated Movie. Striek while the Iron's hot. SF is back and this is something I think even casual fans would love to watch.

I agree. I am hoping to see the complete anime of the Ryu vs Akuma trailer. I am curious on how it could turn out. I am predicting that thing will turn out that way.

- We see the complete past of Gouken and Akuma.

-Gen had a vision of Gouki and Gouken in his SF4 ending but in fact he is seeing the future.

- Gen finds and challenges Akuma and ends up defeated and tells Akuma to challenge Gouken and anyway those who follow the warrior code will find death.

- Ryu finds and challenges Akuma to prove that he can be a true warrior without Satsui no Hado. Ken joins Ryu and both fight Akuma. However, they end up being beaten.

- In despair, Ryu is about to be consumed by Evil Ryu but Gouken knocks him out and seals the SNH. He transmits at the same time the knowledge of the denjin hadouken and Shin shoryuken.

- Gouki vs Gouken happens. Meanwhile, Sakura and other fighters arrive at the scene and help Ken and Ryu leave the battlefield.

- Gouki eventually defeats Gouken for the final time. I believe that things will turn out that way because 2 of the trailers released depicts Akuma as the winner and Gouken was in his actual appearance. Gouki is the fan favourite and I do not see him being defeated.

- In the end, Ryu parts for another journey to master the legacy Gouken has given to him in order to prepare for his destined battle. Ken's son is born and Sean becomes his apprentice. Gouki trains even harder and awaits his ultimate battle with Ryu.

I am really hoping things will turn out that way.

that's why i said either Madhouse (my favorite) or production IG. I ahd high hopes for studio 4c by they messed up both in the op endings of sf4 and in ties that bind.

In fact i just re-watched ties that bind couple hours and while it is far better than the opening and endings of sf4 its still lacks in terms of style and animation. There are countless scenes where the only thing moving is the characters mouths. Too many drawing inconsistencies.

That's because it wasn't real animation, it was more of an animatic than a finished product. I think what happened was that they didn't properly storyboard everything and didn't take the time to test it all out.

Studio 4c has done a bad job for Sf4 because it is clear that they had schedule issues by producing the animation of the movie and the game at the same time. I heard from someone's review that they are a talented team and they have done better jobs. For example, the animation of the Sakura trailer was pretty decent when they had enough time.  A reviewer even said that the Ties that bind was not their best job.

That's really not a good enough excuse, any real pro animation studio would have fired them if that were the excuse or not even hire them in the first place for that type of quality. They should have properly managed their time, it's on them and Capcom for hiring them to do the job. If the promotional animation team (I'm refering to the ink bleed promotional trailers) can do the amazing job they did, which by the way is 100x's harder than doing what the anime/intro/ending animators did, then Studio 4C shouldn't be able to make excuses.

The Sakura trailer you say was decent? I haven't seen it myself but I don't think that's what you'd expect or want ever to hear anyway. I would at least want to hear that it was really good or great, but decent is never something good to hear.

Get Donnie Yen to help out. He worked for Capcom on Onimusha 3, didn't he? He would be great for the choreography on the fight scenes.

Ryu: "That's fine. Perhaps I can learn something worthwhile from your discipline. However, I won't lose. Let me show you the meaning of true strength."
