Yeah, I'm still trying to look for a youtube vid that showed the making of--it was for Onimusha 3. I think they took it down though o:
However, it is shown on Donnie Yen's profile in wikipedia.
Ryu: "That's fine. Perhaps I can learn something worthwhile from your discipline. However, I won't lose. Let me show you the meaning of true strength."
The Sakura trailer you say was decent? I haven't seen it myself ....
here you go
Someone translated it on Gametrailers here uou go
Reporter: Miss Sakura, I don't think there's a girl that the media fawns over as much as you out there, so did you fight to become popular?
Sakura: eh?
Reporter: How many boyfriends?
Sakura: let's see..
Reporter: How are you related to Dan Hibiki?
Sakura: hrmmm..
Reporter: By the way, are you REALLY a high school girl?
Sakura: ahaha... no comment! I have no comment...
*Fight starts*
Sakura: Oh no...
*Flashback*
Sakura: I'm home!
Sakura: Finally back after 3 months away... Safely done with the training..
Sakura's Mom: Sakura, Kei says she wants to talk to you about something..
*Park*
Sakura: After I graduate?
Kei: Yeah, everyone has that in mind nowadays. Did you think it over yet?
Sakura: Aiya~ I have a major problem on whether I'll be able to graduate or not...
Kei: But you have your martial arts to get into, right? We had so many dreams when were were kids.. But in the end, it seems impossible to reach those dreams. So we look for things that we can do.. I envy you for having your dreams, Sakura.
Sakura: It's not true! Kei-chan, you too..
*Sakura's Room*
Sakura: Dreams, huh? I wonder if my dreams will come true? I don't know about any of that.. I just run into my goals blindly, then realize that it's not what I made it out to be and then I fall and get depressed over and over again..
Sakura: But, but you see. I keep telling myself 'For sure, For sure!' to definitely reach my dreams. If I go hard at it, one step by one step, go beyond where I was since yesterday.. Isn't that right? Kei-chan?
*Press Conference*Dan: You see, with my Saikyo-ryu (THE BEST STYLE), winning these matches is not a far-off-dream, but as easy as digging into my nose!
Reporter: I.. I see.. Then, Miss Sakura, what does it mean for you to fight?
Sakura: Eh?..
Dan: That is of course, to you Saikyo-ryu to..
Reporter: Just what would that be?
Sakura: Yes, um.. It's to see what kind of future I can reach and make certain of it!
I really loved that trailer. I loved the part where she pulled out Ryu's photo from alpha 2. It reminded me the time when I finished the game with Sakura the first time. It was really nostalgic. She has some serious feelings for him.
did u put make lots of money in the title just to make it more interesting
What does not revolve around money?
If Capcom just takes their time it could be a great success. Have you seen the countless number of Street fighter 4 videos on youtube? There are a lot of Street fighter fans right now. It is the perfect opportunity for capcom to make a great anime.
Awesome! I've finally found the forum on this topic... I remember reading strugler's ideas on the "street Fighter Blog", but I wanted to share my opinions on a website more "direct" like Capcom Unity, not Blogger... and finally I've found it, even if I'm late for the party :D
My 2 cents ~-^ :
Don't let Street Fighter become the next Naruto or Bleach - For goodness sakes, a SF anime adaptation should not be millions of episodes long with millions of characters we can't keep track of. If a SF anime turns into something like this, it'll mean a few "main characters" and a bunch of side characters that viewers will be forced into thinking "are important". The most a SF anime should be is no more than 30 episodes. If you need to expand on the story even more, 2 seasons would be fine. Sure, millions of episodes would be good publicity, but why have the reputation of being another "generic anime"? Which brings another point...
Street Fighter is like the world of comic book superheroes - There have been so many stories told, and so many great characters to adapt. However, would it be reasonable to adapt every saga of the Street Fighter universe? Do we really want to see the same old Shadaloo & Dark Hadou conflicts other pieces of SF media have adapted countless times? Why not create a story that takes creative liberties while not straying too far off the road? The Ryu Final manga is a great example of this. It wasn't a literal adaptation of SF3 (which is essentially SF2 all over again). Rather, it decided to create an original story that focused on Ryu's escalation. It also didn't try to cram every SF3 character into the story like the SF live-action (Quick, change the channel!), but instead it took certain characters and made them meaningful. It even brought back Sagat to resolve the old "Tiger vs Dragon conflict". What I'm trying to say is don't focus on the seperate parts, but view the SF universe as a whole and form a respectable tale from it.
Finally, this isn't Dragonball Z... - Yes, I did say SF is similar to the superhero comic book world. But what's made SF special in the past is a sense of balance. I appreciate that Youtube vid of SF anime-styled very much, however, that would lead to long 5 episode fights and ridiculous animation. Ryu shouldn't be able to fire "Kamehameha" hadoukens, and Akuma shouldn't be able to create "Akira-style" craters formed after explosions. The fights should preferrably be like the SF2 animated movie's; "Real" with a spark of fantasy.
And just as my personal preference, the SF anime should be the tale of Ryu... yes, throw in M.Bison if you have to contrast characters like Chun Li and Guile (why'd they'd be brought in is up to the producers). After al, SF was inspired by legendary figures like Mas Oyama... btw, "Fighter in the Wind" styled SF anime anyone?
These are just my little thoughts on a SF anime I'd like to share and see what strugler thinks...

Yes, I agtee I do not want the serie to be too much like Naruto or Dragon Bal Z.
