somebody said i should post this here:
Here are some mockups I am doing for an Xbox Live arcade release of 3s. How i would like to see it. basically it's redrawn: hit/special Effects, all Bars, Screens and Menus. original with crisp filter: Character Frames and Stage Backgrounds (not shown/done) Please try to ignore any crapness in the redrawing and try to imagine how it could look if capcom had done it instead. This is my first go at any 2d game type work/hd redrawing.
i use hor+ with invisible walls as the basis of the widescreen mode. i think vert- looks totally RUBBISH. No.1 Twelve vs Hugo orignal screenshot hd mockup 720p hd mockup1080p comparison No.2 Alex vs Ryu vs screen original vs screen hd remix original screenshot hd mockup 720p comparison
original: hd remixed: *edit* 1080p version: version3 (1080p wallpaper) possible secret fighters select:
original screenshot: hd remix version one: hd remix version two: 4:3 mode experiment: i wish capcom would add something like that for sf4 the 3d stages loo much better in 4:3 mode but i dont want just balck bars on the side of my screen. top grade versus screen original screenshot hd remix 720p: 1080p: super arts select original screenshot: hd remix 720p hdremix 1080p Aegis Reflector: original gif: WIP HD
Grade System Idea here is my idea for the grading system for this game to replace the BP or CP of sf4. everybody starts at rank.1 eg the rank.3 suffers no demotion. if you fight somebody of a lower rank and win you get nothing. if you fight somebody of the same rank and win you get a star. stars don't carry over ranks. eg rank.1 - 9* beats a rank.3 - 4* if you have stars and lose to a lower rank you lose all your stars. if you disconnect you lose all your stars. there is no 'mamixum' rank. PS After buying king of fighters 12 (i did these a while before that) i realise this would be pretty much on par with how they did that game. i think that shows it could be a worth while idea. |

I support this. If Capcom plans to release 3rd Strike over PSN/XBLA I believe that this is the way to go.
I support a new (or remixed) Darkstalkers game!

This looks excellent. I'd love to have something like this available on current gen systems or via XBLA/PSN. |

Perfect. If that were the case, I'd be very happy. I use to love the Street fighter series but got bored with it because, to me, it felt the same. Nothing against it! I know the fans love it, but I fell in love with SF3 because of the new and cool characters (yun and yang). I would totally buy this! Full screen support? Yes please, It would look really awesome. |

HD Remix would be cool indeed. You might want to look into this font called "Helvetica", because that's the ones they used for most of the typography in Street Fighter III. |

Love it. Got to have it. Please Capcom release it (I have a feeling you will eventually to sort of coincide with SSFIV) in this style :D
Ryu: "That's fine. Perhaps I can learn something worthwhile from your discipline. However, I won't lose. Let me show you the meaning of true strength."

3rd Strike needs to be released and I seriously cannot believe that there is a possibility that Capcom would work on a version of Darkstalkers before 3rd Strike. Anyway, I digress... While I appreciate the effort, and the sentiments made by the OP I really don't think any kind of redrawing/remixing is needed for 3rd Strike. The methods used for MvC2 with regards to graphics upscaling, for me, would be the way to go and as long as there is (and should be) a 4:3 option. |
