I know one thing Capcom doesn't like 'bout bringing Rival Schools back

And that's the fact of division

Some might flock to RS and leave SF behind

Basically it creates competition within their company

Darkstalkers on the other hand isn't that similar to SF so it doesn't create much competition for SF

I'll say this though, what they need to do if they revive RS is to make the gameplay so different that it's not similar to SF for the most part

That's why Rival Schools was great, the original RS used the tag-teaming combos to its advantages. It used the fact that that school alliances was the CORE of RS to its advantage

So they used that as the core for the gameplay

If they make it so that the game depends heavily on team combos/specials/supers then it'll be so different from SF that SF fans won't leave SF behind to play this instead

It's a risky move for sure,  I know Capcom realizes this

But it could also be a big and profitable move if it brings back a lot of hungry RS fans and other casuals

What they need to do is release RS for the Playstation Network and see how that does. It would really measure out if it's worth it or not.

That said I love the fact that my two favorite characters (Daigo and Akira) are siblings lol. Seriously greatness runs in their blood!

I wish she was the main character in the game and not Batsu, just so to keep away from feeling like a Street Fighter clone

I agree at some points. Capcom should promote the fun and happy go atitude and a different gameplay.

I guess it depends on the player's personality. I personnally love to vary the video game styles.

AKira should be the lead character. She is an unorthodox bad ass girl as the webmaster of fighters generation said.

I think Sakura should be included. The universe is so awesome that it should be part of the SF universe like Final fight.

Can we opt for a rerelease of the original first? I'm interested in the series but never played a game of it. I found a used copy of RS2 for $40 but am not willing to fork out that cash for something i've never tried.

Holy! You found one for 40 dollars, BUY IT...Totally worth it, I found a copy for like 300 dolars.......Still worth it. Honestly I love this game I would love to see it come back. I don't want to talk alot becuase I've posted in like every Rival Schools/Project Justice post that their is. So yeah Capcom, the fans want it...That means the fans buy it.

For ? That's seriously a steal!

I'm with everyone though

A release of the original on the Playstation Network would really be fun and would introduce a lot new people to the series.

Not only that, I think they could use that to see how well a sequel would do

And since SEGA is now willing to release Dreamcast games on the ps3, how 'bout releasing Project Justice on the ps3 too? I never got a real chance to try it out sadly, so it'd be cool

Anyway I hope everything stays like in the original Rival Schools, it just LOOKs more fun, but I gotta play PJ to really decide

Anyway, Daigo and Arika!

Yeah. Capcom should rerelease the games on the PSN because they are to find especially PJ who is the best of the 2 episodes in my humble opinion

By the way Scarecrow, do you think Hyo should return because PJ  seemed to be his final appearance in the storyline. I am not totally sure about that one.

If they decide bring Hyo back, they should just make him a bonus character with no involvement of the storyline.
