Why Not Port Resident Evil Archives/Darkside Chronicles to PS3/360?

I can see requesting Darkside Chronicles but Resident Evil Archives seems silly.  You to lazy to just pick up a gamecube and the 2 games?  Probably cost less or near the same as full priced retail game for the PS3 and 360.

Stu, you haven't proven that there ISN'T a high demand.

I'm not the one that needs to prove anything. RE4 was ported and went on to sell how many million? Your two stayed with Nintendo. And that's that.

They stayed with Nintendo because Nintendo holds the rights to them. Some of the people who are mods, that work for Capcom have even said this. So again I ask, prove that there is no demand.

I support a classic RE Franchise Reboot. Just say "no" to online multiplayer!

I'm not terribly sure this is a productive thread and I'm not sure it's likely to actually be constructive in the near future.

At the moment, there are no plans to bring the Chronicles titles to another platform.

Except, Stu, there is this crucial point to remember:

RE4 was a Main part of the series and should never have been an exclusive to begin with.

RE: UC Is not as important title overall...and will never be. Ergo, nobody cares as much!
This also applies to RE: DSC!

The difference is clear, and Capcom wouldn't wanna cripple the CORE series by making ONE that was exclusive to a lesser popular console...Umbrella Chronicles means Squat diddly overall, and wouldn't be missed either way.

And before you even mention Zero, that was another freebie to appeal people to the Cube...it isn't as central as the newer games since then and can be overlooked, somewhat.

Your entire argument is flawed. THAT is all.

The difference being the PS2 version was announced before the GC version was even released. Financial losses were also a factor. Go read up on it. It's also worth noting that the PS2 was the in console last gen, and Sony was king of the hill. They were given preferential treatment by many a dev. Things didn't work out that way this time around.

An interesting bit of trivia about Zero, is that it was originally in development for the N64.

It's not a current game event in the RE Timeline - thus they have no need to port it since they obviously deem it fine where it is and on the consoles it's on.

Also Focus on the fact I said PAST based games...the current core product is where Capcom want to focus on other platforms, clearly - and as has been said MANY a time by mods and capcom themselves, there IS no plan to port it out. You're just being nitpicky when we all know that REmake was signed up as part of the iron-clad 5-game agreement despite the mistake of 4. But that was simply a lack of foresight on their part - the market pretty much indicated they needed to get that multiplatform. Resident Evil Classic ALREADY is multi platform and thus is easier for them to ship off to the DLC markets, now.
The REmake is, however, already acknowledged by all involved as fiercely Nintendo-only - Always!

Face facts, it's not happening and it never will - they WOULD have done so with UC already if this was the case.

Now let it go, this thread is clearly getting ridiculously hot enough as it is...Capcom's already made their position clear to all, at any rate.
