X8 was an overlooked gem, in my opinion. It was the first game since the SNES that really felt like a return-to-form, and even surpassed the originals in certain aspects (though, admittedly, the vehicle stages were horrible). It might not hit the kind of numbers that Mega Man 9 put out, but I think there are a lot of loyalists that missed out on it during release, simply because the availability of it (myself, I couldn't find a copy anywhere except the rental store).

Plus, it'd be a great way to gauge the fans' interest in moving forward with X9 at some point. As cool as MM9 was with the retro-look, the X series would probably require a bigger investment (also, less techno and more metal), so it's as good a place to start as anywhere else.

It'd be great if X8 was up on PSN/XBLA. It'd be better if it was MMX instead (or Maverick Hunter X to be playable on the PS3 and 360 instead of just a PSP download)

This would be terrific.  I'd buy it again.

Nope. X8 isn't the hottest/coolest MegaMan from the PSX.

Largely because it was a PlayStation 2 game, and in that realm, it was the best (not counting maybe Command Mission).

Well, like I mentioned, one thing that really hurt X8 was just the availability being so limited, versus the other games made it on the "Mega Man X Collection". Not that I *don't* want the other games around, just saying I'm not sure X8 got much attention.

Now, on the "Maverick Hunter X" series, I would *LOVE* to see that continue. Even though X1 was the only one I owned, personally, I really preferred X2 and (especially) X3. And with the awesome job they did with MHX1, I can only imagine how awesome MHX2 or MHX3 would be.

My only concern would be music, though. Like I said, the X series should have a distinctly Rock/Metal edge to it; that's the one area I thought MHX1 was pretty weak in.

Any chance an admin/moderator could comment on the possibility of this? How big a demand would warrant a PSN release?

Or, if nothing else, you folks have any spare copies left in your warehouses? :P

I want them to continue the maverick hunter X series (ANYWHERE just do it!!) and keep it going like that and tie in all those GBC games and the GCN/PS2 RPG into the story (via more remkaes called Mega Man Maverick hunter X rather then just Mega Man X).

So Sven, any chance at this happening? ^_^

If not, how about an "HD Remix" of Rockman & Forte? :D
