Right, and given that Capcom has been on holiday for the past few days, I'm giving you the best answer I can give you. I'm not able to give a definite word, but what I can say is that if Japan got it, there is nothing holding back the US, and right now Nintendo is probably going to market it later than sooner. Look at Nintendo's track record with WiiWare demos. They've always been currently available games.
All I'm saying is that if Nintendo in Japan has a demo, Capcom probably provided Nintendo of America with a demo too, and it's even possible that Nintendo does not want them to say if they gave a demo or not.
I didn't have to give an answer, I could've just continued to let you guys feel ignored (and I would'nt want that), so I stepped in. You don't have to accept my answer, but you got something from someone for the time being.
well not being rude or anything .. just your puttin the answer on Nintendo. The only role SONY,MS and Nintendo play is making it sure its takeh care of while on the store. Creating Demo, Localization of Demo, release date of demo are all decided by CAPCOM( unless the big 3 happen to be the publisher)
What this thread is asking has/is CAPCOM done that. Your answer sounds like Nintendo is calling ALL shots when actually is calling very few. just because Nintendo has a Japanes demo says nothing about a NA demo. hypothetical if CAPCOM didnt want a NA demo, Nintendo cannot force them/take it in to there own hands. ( your 1st kinda intigates that idea)
Main point is this waaaaaay more to with CAPCOM than Nintendo.

But we know Capcom wasnted an NA demo, and like I said, the talks with Nintendo was about file sizes for the demo, which seeing Japan has it, it's obvious that there was no file restriction for the demo. Also, the title of the thread is misleading, as it asks when NA can expect the demo, not if Capcom has submitted one to Nintendo. If I didn't answer the first question and say it was Nintendo who decides when it comes out, we wouldn't have narrowed the question down to what you really wanted to know, which again, that question's answer can be easily guessed. It's the one about when Nintendo will release it thats harder to answer.

Not really misleading, because perhaps the size thing wasn't an issue with Nintendo Japan, but perhaps it was an issue with Nintendo America. Perhaps that is why we havent seen any demos in Eur or NA. maybe the big N is being cheap with hosting those files in regions other than Japan. We really don't know what the deal is at this point, but I am willing to bet Sven or another Capcom employee who's in the know can add some clarity to the situation. And tell us when...or if we can expect the demo in NA.
Sounds like a properly leading title to me.

Actually, Nintendo shares the same file size limits worldwide. It's like the 40MB limit on the Nintendo Wii's Wiiware service. There have been reports saying the 3DS might not have a file size limit, but it hasn't been confirmed, since one of the games on the eShop is 190MB. The only practice that NoA might have different, is it's restriction on M rated titles, but they did provide a 3D video of RE: Revelations gameplay (as well as MGS3D), so it's hard to see that as an issue too.

Well it is concerning that Japan has seen a slew of demos while every other region has had none. This is even the second round of demos going to Japan since November. Now I can understand why Monster Hunter has no demo, because it doesn't have any confirmation or release date for NA, but that does leave the question of why DoA never got a demo in NA, or why MGS or RE didnt make it here in this round of demos. Being that they have all been localized, including localized versions of the exact demos that are available, it really does leave the question lingering.
There has to be a reason only Japan has demos now, maybe other sectors are coming soon, or maybe Nintendo just thinks that statistically Demos dont garner as much attention from gamers outside of Japan, maybe the big N is just being lazy because of the holidays ( but that doesn't explain the Dead Or Alive demo). So you can understand the concern, and hope that Capcom may be privy to some information to alleviate such concern. Sven already told me directly in a previous thread that they were in talks with Nintendo, and I am hoping he can toss an update on that. Obviously the "talks" worked out for Japan....so...?

A RE: Revelations demo for NA and Europe is coming. In the case of NA, we're awaiting our date confirmation and code approval from NOA (we have a tentative from them, but I'll have to keep you in suspense). When we have something more concrete to share, you won't be able to miss it on the Capcom-Unity blog.

Thanks Sven, that's reassuring to know. The earlier mentioning of the demo appearing at Capcom Fright Club on the 19th in the US, did have me a little concerned. I hope Europe gets it a touch sooner - Friday the 13th From what I've heard and read, I think you guys may have another winner on your hands, one that's going to sell crazy amount of units. I really can't wait...
