I imagine the official comment for the time being would be "no comment" or "we hope to for future games" but aside from that I'm thinking that the Wii Motion + is going to be the same across the board for most devs in that Wii games that are almost finished or coming out soon won't be using the Wii Motion + (example Star Wars Clone Wars won't use it) however Wii games that have just started production or are a ways off will start incoporating it.

The feature may end up being like the Six Axis on the PS3 were it's something that feels tacked on in most games. The WM+ also brings up a problem in the case of people that don't/won't have it, ie presents a problem of developers as that new hardware basically splits the user base, like if someone does develop a game that takes full advantage of the WM+ will someone that doesn't have the WM+ not be able to play the game, or will the game feel broken without that feature, etc, etc, which is why I said the feature might end up feeling tacked on depending on how things go.

It really ends up depending on how many WM+ units sell. For instance if it becomes the standard and most Wii owners get/have it then a majority of Wii games would start making use of it.

It kinda sucks that the WM+ wasn't part of the Wiimote from the get go, because then games like Okami would have more precise controls on the Wii, and or developers could've explored more options or types of games possibly, which can still happen of course it just really depends on how many people end up having the WM+.

Would it be more prudent to ask what the company and the develepers feel about the accessory?
If so i would like to know.  But in any case it would probably be the
same response to what I got on my question about the Balance Board which was.

From a business perspective, I'm not a huge fan of fragmenting the
potential userbase for a game by building around an accessory, but who
knows. Maybe.

hmm, you have pretty bleak view for this upgrade, i think it will sel well, and Aiwata stated that it will be cheap because production isnt that expensive, what i have seen it has great potencial, i just prey that developers will use it right, now they can finally make more complex actions not just "wagle wagle" or point and click, although i am suprised that nintendo didn't make better softwer to promote it, i mean wii sports 2 is more appealing to casual gamers, but this add on is perfect for more complex games that casual gamers dont really care obout, so i dont quite understand nintendo s strategy on this, they should have at least show something to warm up developers and show them what they could actually do, not like this, but anyways i hope third party will          at least try to do something with it for start.(Capcom?)

seriously TAS, STFU. How would it be gimmicky?

"How many Wii titles have online co-op, even from Nintendo?" - Sven... so you want Capcom to be as mediocre as the rest of Wii developers? Figures.

You need to work on your reading skills. TAS never said it is gimmicky.

I do agree with him. I'll buy Wiimotion + because I know it's out there and there will be games that will utilize it. But are there enough people out there that know of the excistence of WM+? It depends on various factors. The price will be important.

He said tacked on which basically means it's a gimmick.

No I don't, I'm just being a realist about it.

Point out to me what's bleak that I stated opposed to just the truth.

i think it will sel
well,

I didn't say it wouldn't sell well.

If it does sell really well or if a large majority of Wii owners end up having it you will see more and more development with the WM+, if it doesn't sell well then the opposite will apply. That's just how it works.

That's not the issue or the issue I'm seeing.

A majority of Wii owners aren't hardcore gamers, ie you have alot of parents, soccer moms, etc, that are Wii owners and if they feel content with what they've got in terms of Wii controlers that could be a problem in that a huge part of the Wii demographic won't care about it or won't know about it, however it's being packaged with what's basically Wii Sports 2 and Wii Sports is pretty much the most popular game on the Wii so if people know there's another Wii Sports coming out that will/would push sales of the WM+ then anything else would.

What is inocorrect about those statements? Or did you just decide to not actually pay attention to what I said or are you just so hopeless that you can't comprehend something so simple?

That's right I said it MAY be tacked on depending on how well it sells, but the problem is that the fanboys will only see whatever comments that could possibly be considered negative and then jump all over that. You could list 100 things about the Wii and if only one them is considered the slighest bit negative the fanboys will jump all over that one specific thing and not even bother paying attention to or remember the 99 good things.

That's the biggest problem with fanboys or hardcore fans (of anything) is that they have such an extreme bias towards something that they're completely blinded by it.

I'll take a stab at this:

I can't speak for Japan's teams (I haven't spoken with Takeuchi or Inafune about it), but at CEI, we are eagerly awaiting access to the SDK to see what it's like to work with. We have a couple of projects we're contemplating some sort of support if it makes sense as a supplimental control mechanism.
