I am sorry but I had to ask this question: Is Monster Hunter 3 coming to America?

This is all I want to know, I don't care about the date, I don't care about the time, I don't care about game or mechanics, I just want to know if there IS going to be an American version, and that is it.

IF you are not obligated to say anything at the time, then lemme know when you officially can answer

as a monster hunter myself i understand the pain of waiting for new monster hunter games lol. The only answer you'll get anywhere on that question is "we cannot announce details at this time" which means it's definately somthing they ARE thinking about. i think that they are noticing that marketing muscle is what they need to throw this game into the casual gamers category. but i keep hearing at all capcom speakings they say "we are going to be having more global releases or more support over seas" blah blah but i think its gonna happen.

Yeah, I have waited for MHG and MH2 to come out, and I was the only positive thinker at some point in a certain forum thread I used to go, in the end of arguing positively for 3 years my faith is a bit shaken, can I at least get some sort of response from capcom?

If I can't even get a yes or no, can I get a response for the folling question?

At the Tokyo Game Show there WILL be Monster Hunter 3 for Japan, as announced, my question is as follows, will there be a Monster Hunter announcement of some kind in it? That's all i wanna know, I don't care what kind of announcement, I just wanna know if there will be some sort of Monster Hunter announcement?

again im sry but Capcom is very hush hush about things. i mean your lucky we even know monster hunter will be there but they only told us that cause its the TOKYO game show so its basically obvious it will be. and i think there MIGHT be an announcement or some type of upcoming partner ship with oversea capcoms to bring it here and thats about it so just watch it on G4 and keep your eyes on capcom-unity. stay positive!!! i am =]

BTW i think its coming i mean all the monster hunter freedom 2s are sold out. that has to mean they did better than expected.

Alas, I can't share that information, but I can give the same answer I've been giving for a while and that is: "The Monster Hunter franchise is going to be increasingly important for Western markets. We have long term ambition to grow the brand to be as large across the West as it is in Japan." Beyond that, I'm not yet able to give specific details.

Just for reference, even for Japan, we haven't announced a date (or even a release year) for MH Tri.

Thank you for clearing that up, Sven. Us as consumers in the US, as well as Australians have high hopes for the Monster Hunter franchise outside of Japan. I'd also like clarification on when you say western markets, are you specifically referring to the US?

I'm referring to North America and Europe (and I count Australia as being associated with Europe given its history as a PAL territory)

i keep hearing capcom talk about future plans for the western market, thats great but sometimes the future is along ways away and weve all been patient enough cuz of the lack of online play with the psp games, we want another one like the first monster hunter where we can play with more than just the same group of people. the first monster hunter was like a whole community cuz u could play and interact with alot of different people, i personally want that feeling again, and i kno alot of you do 2. i just hope mh3 comes to us soon...
