achievements are pointless, but it makes me sad that people are going to choose the other versions over the Wii-version which should be the lead version |

Forgive my stupidity, but how in the hell does that link show the Wii version as being "gimped" in any sort of sense?

A couple points: 1. Achievements are mandatory from Microsoft. They must exist for the game to have MS approval. It's an integral part of the system's mechanics. 2. Achivements do not exist on Wii, nor does any other mechanism like it. You couldn't possibly be suggesting that we develop our own one-off achievement system for MM9? Retail games don't even do that much less $10 downloadable titles. The game is exactly the same on both systems with the exception of system specific requirements. If that's what pushes someone over the edge to a purchase, so be it, but that's not exactly under our control.

But then why release it on live arcade if they have some "special requirements" that its "require" to comply or mandatory as you said. All this said you cant release bionic comando for Wii for some "unspecified" reason because capcom dont want to comply with some nintendo requirements... or viceversa. Capcom can be flexible with microsoft but not with nintendo... |

I really hope you're joking. For one thing, Virtual Console releases are completely under Nintendo's control. They decide what games come out when. If they decide they don't want a particular game on the system; well, tough luck. It's Nintendo and they have a habit of standing their ground regardless of how wise or unwise a decision may be. As for the achievements in Mega Man 9...seriously, come on now. Like Sven said, that's just how 360 games are set up. You think Call of Duty: World at War or Guitar Hero World Tour or Rock Band 2 are going to have achievements on the Wii? Hell no. And that doesn't make them lesser games in any way whatsoever...it doesn't hamper the experience of the games themselves. |

Incidently, would it be safe to assume there are not going to be Trophies in the PS3 version? --LBD "Nytetrayn" |
