Did Capcom cease PSP development?

Hi, I'm new here although I've been visiting Capcom site for some time. Anyway, there's something I'd like to know.

Ever since I played Ghouls and Ghosts on my parents' Amiga, Capcom has been one of my favorite developers. In fact, Capcom games were the reason I bought my fat PSP, and I wasn't disappointed. Mega Man games were great, and so were the remixed Capcom classics.  I loved Harvey Birdman as well, it was a breath of fresh air.

But a couple of months ago, while at school, a friend told me that he heard Capcom is stopping PSP development  (except for Monster games in Japan) and the most I can expect are occasional PS2 ports. He said that because most of Capcom PSP games flopped, Capcom has no plans for further support, and will concentrate on DS development in the future.  I didn't believe him, but then I decided to check  your official site, and saw there are no PSP games scheduled for this year.

It saddened me a bit, so I deceided to register, and ask did Capcom cease PSP development? I love my Capcom PSP collection, but if true, I'll sell the lot and use funds to buy a DS.

 Thanks

Absolutely 100% false... We're still making new PSP games. We may be the most successful PSP publisher in the world with Monster Hunter Portable 2nd and 2ndG. It'd be a difficult decision to defend stopping development when we have such success on the platform.

Are they all named Monster Hunter?

I'm not biased, I hate all consoles equally. :)

I am asking about what they are working on now...not what is already out. I just want to know if non Monster Hunter fans have anything to look forward to.

So is there anything for me to look forward to Sven...or should I start being a Konami fanboy?

Probably just Moto GP 2008 for now...

I understand how you guys feel... but I'm also pretty happy that Monster Hunter reigns on the PSP... It's somewhat of a good feeling to know that MH doesn't need to 'compete' with Lost Planet, Bionic Commando, etc, because it's in a different platform...

I dont know about competing...I have no intention of getting monster hunter, but I would buy bionic commando in a New York minute...same goes for Resident Evil, Onimusha, or Devil May Cry...To mention only a few. I would love to see an update of GunSmoke as well.

Actually MotoGP 08 isn't on PSP.

On the topic of MH, I've got nothing I can talk about right now. Hands are tied.
