I'm just sorta wondering, since that one version of lost planet has it, and since capcom has been gettin into PC more and more recently. It'd be great to play against friends who don't have a good enough pc while they're at college and stuff.

It's TBD... Whenever the console versions get released, the PC version will trail by a few months in either case.

Delayed PC release? Expected, but disappointing nonetheless. I'll wait.

Any chance of SFIV being on Steam? :P

SFIV on Steam? It's not in our current agreements with Valve, but maybe.

I wouldnt mind waiting a month or two for the pc version but seriously try to get it out as fast as possible or at the same time as the console version. It would only help sales that way, but i can understand the need to take your time to make sure the game scales well.

Also sven, based on the footage i saw from CG08, the 360 version didnt look arcade perfect.. Am i right by saying that? And would the pc version be arcade perfect as long as you have the hardware?

The version at Leipzig is the second 360 playable build we've seen and there's loads of optimization still to come. I'm surprised you'd say it's at all different from the arcade. Having played both extensively, I'd say already it's almost exactly the same.

When the 360 version is done, I'm told it will be better and faster than the arcade.  On the PC, obviously, if you have more hardware, the more you can crank things up to higher resolutions, etc. Just FYI, the arcade uses a Geforce 7900 GS as its GPU and a reasonable dual core as the CPU (though there are highly specialized drivers that are non-standard that I'm told help performance significantly). Obviously there are solutions in the market today that will destroy that config so... go nuts. Cool

but why would you want to make one version faster than another?  it can screw with your timing.  are "arcade-perfect" ports a thing of the past already?

I'm going to assume he meant higher framerates, smoother animations. The timings are probably going to be very similar.

Mwahahah, good to know my rig won't be needing any upgrades to play.
