Is it true that it's running on a Wii arcade board, whatever that is?

480p, therefore not Taito X2... and System 246 are out of the map as are Naomi and Atomiswave (even older) so... what's the mysterious hardware where it's running?

Releasing this game in the US for the Wii may calm down all these crazies we have on these forums.

I doubt it even interests them (also applicable to any other platform, mind you, Tatsunoko is pretty obscure not to say out of fashion). Let alone being the kind of title (preferential, high budget support) the Wii users crave for.

To be honest, I'm only interested in this engine by how good it looks for a (aparently) 480p arcade board (with some speculating it's and Wii arcade board), the street fighter characters already there and how Street Fighter 4 "could" be stripped down for it. So basically I'm not interested in the game per see.

Hate to sound so pessimistic, but I still am not really much of a believer in this game being able to come to the States, in any official form.

After all, with the different rights issues that do exist for possibly
a good number of characters in this game, the only way I could see them
doing any thing about it would be to either a) rip out the "offending"
characters or b) just take out all of the Tatsunoko characters and try
and "substitute" them with something else. Neither sound all that practical, especially when you consider that one involves shooting themselves in the foot by gipping the roster, and the other requires much more in the way of actual work, just to market a "separate" product.

So, til I see more to make me think otherwise, my mind is closed. I really don't think this game has any shot of coming over here, any more than the likes of Hokuto no Ken, Fate:UC (another Capcom product), Melty Blood, the Jump Stars DS games and etc. do.

Well, this should be on the Wii seeing that is running on an engine that runs in 480p. There were confirmations on japanese webpages that it was indeed running in a Wii engine.

An All-Capcom versus game is a lot better

I agree with Chloebs! Besides, I got some dream matches I'd like to fulfill!

Some examples-

Dante (Devil May Cry) VS Morrigan/Lillith, Demitri, Jedah, Anakaris, and Talbain.

Wang-Tang(Power Stone) VS Yun & Yang(Street Fighter 3)

Zero (Mega Man X) VS Hayato (Star Gladiator)

That "All-Capcom Versus" game already happened. That's Capcom Fighting Jam and well, it sucked.

I think that in this age of the internet, refusing to bring over a game because the characters aren't well known is not an excuse, since anyone can just go on a site like Wikipedia and do some research. Heck, I barely knew Tatsunoko characters but now I have even watched full series like Yatterman and the original Gatchaman.

The Vs series is already pretty well known, and if you just consider Tatsunoko characters as "newcomers" in any normal fighting game, it all works out just fine, IMO.
