According to THIA seems that the last issue of Famitsu said there will be a likely RE2 Remake only for Nintendo Wii.

Popular Japanese gaming bulletin board, 2ch, has posted information on
what looks to be a brand new remake of fan favourite Resident Evil
title, Biohazard 2. For now, the posting lists the following features
for the game, which will be released exclusively on Nintendo Wii. The
details were alledgedly published in the latest Famitsu.

• Full Remake akin to Biohazard on the Gamecube.
• Some parts consist of Resident Evil 4 viewpoints
• New knight like ("swordsman") creature shown
• Additional story elements will be implemented

I would not mind this, if there is considerable improvement. Nothing like RE0 Wii Edition or as shoddy looking as Dead Rising.If they could somehow implement RE3 in this game that would also be cool

Still would prefer Resident Evil 5 though

RE2 is perfect as it is and I already own it. Enough with remakes, make something new for a change

Give me an exclusive RE game that maintains the tense atmosphere of the original games and you've already got my money
