I have a thread in the LP Colonies section about how i cant play multiplayer here -

http://www.capcom-unity.com/lost_planet/go/thread/view/7421/1053825/PC_Multiplayer_no_longer_working_

Basically i havent been able to play Colonies online since GFW Live went free for some reason (before that i had a Gold account and it worked a breeze). Is there any known server bugs happening or patches on the way to rectify any connection issues ? Im sort of stumped for what to do (im tech savvy so ive tried a whole bunch of port forwarding things, DMZ's etc). Thanks if you can help.

It could be a issue with MS. Did you try other GFW games?

I had the same issue. Constantly losing my connection to games a few seconds after I join them. I had to open up a bunch of ports on my router. It worked like charm.

Source Port(s)                 Destination Port
UDP 1024-5000              UDP 88
UDP 3074                         UDP 3074

Also make sure you don't have a software firewall on your PC. Turn off the built-in Windows Firewall, especially if you're running Vista. In fact, I reccomend going into your services list and disabling the Windows Firewall service completely.

I don't think your issue has anything to do with GFW:Live switching to free service. You may want to try reinstalling the GWF:Live redistributable package just to be sure. You can get the newest version here: http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=98609

To add my thoughts, I reinstalled it last night and got into several games instantly. I'm a bit baffled honestly. Could it be your ISP isn't allowing certain traffic over certain ports to pass?

On the plus side, I found out today that there's a patch coming. What I don't know yet, is what it addresses. Stay tuned.
