Why Wii?

This Q might have been asked before, but... why release MHF3 for the Wii? It's not that I am a fanboy, I'm all for buying a wii just for this game (if it comes to America) but I'd like to know why  this soon to be epic game is  going to be released to the wii? Do you have plans to stay loyal to Sony or are you switching consoles?

So... it can't be epic if it's on the Wii? Just like Shadow of the Collusses, the other MH's, Ocarina of Time, Majoras Mask, Windwaker, and a lot of other games aren't epic?


I think sven said why somewhere but he said it  a while back, and I don't feel like looking it up right now.


Oh, and you wouldn't be buying a Wii just for one game, there's many other great games that are/will be released on the Wii.

Wii need 3rd party support!!!

Why not? What's the problem about it being on the Wii.


The PS3 game was cancelled, though this is Capcom we're talking about, next thing you know is that the game is a 360 exclusive!!!!!!!!!

Two words my friend: MONEY HATS.


That and the fact that the PS3's install base is nowhere near Capcom's expectations which means less potential customers to sell their game to.

And, MH is HUGE in Japan, and the Wii is dominating in Japan (Just like it is in the rest of the world).

Wii need 3rd party support!!!

1, I never said it couldn't be epic on the wii. but I do believe the controls would be sloppy. also, what's so hard to understand?


The PS3 is selling very well in Japan too, so well that FF13 will still be an exclusive there... I just believe the game would be much better for the ps3, since the blu ray disk can hold a lot more than the wii or 360.

PS3 selling well in Japan? April Fools was in April! Not August.


Wii is outselling the PS3 at least 5:1 each week there. The Wii has an installed base of 6.7 million users while the PS3 barely reaches the 2.35 million and was launched before the Wii.


Even the 360 which has an installed base of 700k users there has outsold the PS3 the previous week.


PS3 is dead in Japan, not even FFXIII will be able to save it. MGS4 effect lasted 1 week, just look at the amount of big hits the PS3 got and none was capable of moving HW for a long time, only small boosts that lasted 2 - 3 weeks. PS3 outsold the Wii only 3 weeks out of the almost 100 weeks they have been out.


All big games in Japan should be going to the Wii, much like what's going on with the DS currently. Doubters said DS was a fad too, just look at where it's standing, being the fastest selling console of all times, just behind the Wii lol.
