Hey guys! I heard a rumor here on the forums that it takes at least two months for approval to get a game on Xbox Live or PS3. The thing is, you already had a beta running on one of them, so I'm not sure how true this rumor is. And you're not some small indie company, either. You're Capcom.

Anyway, is it true that once you submit it there is usually a two month (or around there, anyway) wait?

Hey,

The submission process is sometimes a sticky wicket, but assuming there are no issues (checking for problems is essentially what the submission process IS), it's usually around a month or so. The submission process is also different for different territories, so that can be an issue in itself when you're going for a global simultaneous release.

Sven might be able to weigh in with horror stories of long submissions or tales of exciting insta-approvals, but otherwise, yeah--about a month.

best,

Looks like HD remix will probably be released around november or late october. I'll get xbox live gold again when it's released. I also hope the controllers aren't far of from the game's release cause I wanna play to my fullest.

Actually, having had some conversations as recently as today, waits are getting VERY long on MS. I can't get into details but expect to see a lot of titles in the coming weeks.

That said, HD Remix has some special status most other titles don't. Cool We have a specific window we're targeting and we're pretty sure we're going to hit it (watch, I just jinxed myself).

Sounds wonderful! So, I can hope for quick success, or horriblly long failure. Thus is life. =P! Thank you guys for responding, and let's hope it's that planned window and not that long wait. Of course, because gamers are impatient.

Either way I'm excited to hand out some of that hadoken love in HD.

Yea I was thinking HD remix should be a special exception to these rules considering the title. Good luck Svenn in hitting your time frame especially with all the AAA games coming out in November. Anyways you've already done your research, but I was also thinking if somehow street fighter 4 gets released 2-3 months after HD remix, that maybe you guys shouldn't announce the release date of sf4 till near the end, so that HD remix will get a lot of sales, but it's just a suggestion.

I know there's an urge to avoid pegging anything specific (because if you miss it, you'll inevitably get flamed for missing it), but are the guesses of late October/early November correct as far as what you guys would LIKE to hit?
