So let' recap Capcom's Wii support:

Spyborgs - Kiddie Shovelware

Neopets - Kiddie Shovelware

Monster Hunter 3 - Japan only

Tatsunoko v Capcom - It would take a miracle for it to leave Japan (AKA Japan only)

Chop til you Drop - D level port with PSOne graphics,  gimped gameplay and 10 zombies on screen

RE0 GC to Wii Port - Shameless cash-in

REmake GC to Wii port - Shameless cash-in

Monster Hunter 3 will likely be released in the west. And you forgot RE:UC being a rushed Asset-Pool-Game from former RE:Games and RE4:Wii beeing a B-Level Port, but only because of the great controls...

Worst leading-console-support ever....poor Wii :(

My prediction for Wii support from Capcom regarding the RE series:

Capcom starts with a REZero port, now we are getting a REmake port. Up next, we have RE2, 3, Code Veronica, 4 again, all the Light-Gun spin-offs, a interactive novel a-la Silent Hill GBA, RE Gaiden, and then, JUST then we will get RE5. Oh, by then RE6 will have been released for the PS4 and XBOX720. Then hystory repeats itself with the Wii2.

Everybody said this when RE Zero was ported, are you that surprised? It will stay in Japan. I'm not gonna hate the game, because it's one of my most favourite games ever. And for the the nice people here: a scan.

I don't think that MH3 will be Japan only? Why do you think that? And Spyborgs could turn out to be good. The game concept sounds interesting. But fact is that all "big" Capcom games besides MH3 are not hit the Wii.

Three points:

In Japan, Zero sold well indicating that many people have never played the title and there is demand for it. This project is a reaction to the sale of Zero.

Like Zero, think of this as a Greatest Hits re-introduction that just happens to be on a new platform.

At the moment, like Zero, this is Japan only. That could change but that's the current situation.

First things first:

Great Game but unnecessary port.

Second things, erm, second:

Did anybody realise that Capcom released news of a truly blockbuster-title (MH3) prior to this announcement. When Capcom announced RE0, everybody on the forum went like:

"ZOMG why didn't you people announce a big title before you memtioned this RE0-Crap-Port?! We would have accepted this port easier with some other announcement on the horizon!"

This time, Capcom did as asked and still people are complaining about this!? What is going on?

Oh, and btw Capcom: Plaese don't do a REmake of RE2 or Codename Veronica for the Wii. Imho these titles weren't that good.

I guess we can all hope that these ports will lead to bigger better things for RE fans, but untill then I patiently wait.

On a side note if remakes of RE2 / RE3 are ever made I see no point in them being Wii exclusives. If they are done in the same vein as the Cube REmake of RE1 then there is no reason why the games couldn't be multiplatform. You'd just see the PS3 and 360 versions running in HD, while the Wii version doesn't. Plus given Capcoms new stance on Multiplatform games it seems likely that this would be the case anyway.

Capcom Unity!

Now Playing: Mass Effect 2, Modern Warfare 2.

Okay, that sounds economically correct. But why can't you finally reward us with a real RE:Wii. When you are talking about demand and market potential, than you should also see our demand for a real RE Game built from the ground up for Wii.

Why can't you give us a hope-bringing indication, that something will happen in future? Because there will be nothing suitable for us in future or because you aren't allowd?

I don't mind ports like this so long as Capcom pulls out the Big Guns for the Wii, too.
And being that this is all Japan-only, I guess I can't complain since the currently Japan-only Monster Hunter 3 made a huge splash the other day and  the Japan-only Tatsunoko vs Capcom is Wii exclusive, too.
So in that sense, my criteria for  quick cash-in ports like this being acceptable has been met.

Still, I hope Capcom-USA pulls out some of those Big Guns for the Wii soon, too.  Lord knows we're starting to get impatient and having frayed nerves!

Ugh...as each day goes by i feel this is all we (Wii) will ever get regarding the Resident Evil franchise.

And its a shame because after the amazing gameplay of the amazing RE4 Wii edition i'm not going back to play a RE with a traditional controller (i hated RE4's gameplay on PS2).
