I read that the Wii-Version of MotoGP will be a straight PS2-Port, with no online features and horrible PS2-graphics.

If this is true I will lose my faith in capcom.

The Wii version is running late production wise and it will not ship at the end of next month with the other SKUs. There are some improvements from the PS2, in particular the control mechanisms with the Wiimote, but It is true that there is no online play.

Seriously and with due respect, when a rep runs for the "hey it uses wagglemote so it's not the same" to counter a question like this it's the same as saying, "yes it could run as is on PS2", and who cares about the gameplay? by straight up they're saying it is a straight PS2 game with wagglemote already, since they're not implying it needs a classic controller to be played.

And... Wii is not a PS2, it has way more horsepower; most people in the community are always tired of getting PS2-level assets and seriously see it as an insult.

For instance, consider me "not interested" in this product due to that perception/expectation alone.

Cheap Playstation 2 port = Confirmed

Wii SKU released later despite being cheaply made crap = Confirmed

No effort even making an online mode (lol) = Confirmed

I'm not buying this game and will strongly advise others to not buy it aswell = Confirmed

I can completely understand why they removed the online mode considering there  is no racing game on the Wii that uses it properly

It's official, I'm not buying this game. Damn capcom, put some effort into your Wii games from now on.

"We have a broad Wii portfolio. I don't see that changing in the future. " - Sven

"How many Wii titles have online co-op, even from Nintendo?" - Sven... so you want Capcom to be as mediocre as the rest of Wii developers? Figures.

Besides PyschoNaugts -- if it were to happen, I will not buy anymore WiiS2 games.

depending on how its implemented, that may not be much of an improvement at all. i dont know about anyone else, but using the wii steering wheel with mario kart felt like driving drunk.
