In the tile sets of Mega Man 9 there are sprites of him thorwing a weapon, yet none of the weapons are thrown. These sprites also exist for Protoman. That along with the empty space in the weapon inventory leads me to believe that there is a missing weapon from Mega Man 9. Is it true? Is there a missing weapon or is there something else going on here? Sven, care to chime in here please?

Even if there's a convenient Beat-sized hole in the weapon select screen, there's no hole on the save screen so I don't think there's actually a secret 12th weapon. And anyway there are sprites of Megaman sliding in there too and he doesn't do that anytime either.
someone is out there who will like you. take off your mask so they can find you faster.

There's only one undiscovered Mega Man 9 secret that I know about, and this ain't it.  So no, no secret weapons hidden in there! best, Seth

Interesting. I'll look around as soon as I get home. It is in the game right? Not just some Easter Egg in the menu or DLC that has yet to be added? Actually, if you could just let it slip (or PM me, as I wouldn't tell if asked not to) that would save me some time. I don't suppose you would though... EDIT: It isn't the energy capsule behind the Dr. W symbol in Wily 2, right?

Maybe the save screen magically rearranges itself! Or maybe it's just not shown on the save screen.
