Most likely the Wii, Mega man 9 was only available for download on Wii in Japan for the first year or so. Although if the Secret is something like Plug Man being based off Heat Man it really wouldn't matter what console the game is on.

The secret is region free!

- With respect to everyone, but I feel to be unnecessary to keep feeding this topic, since we don't know even if such secret is even real. It's pointless to keep this topic alive, for the secret obscurity. Only two things are real:

a) there are no extra graphics, other than a few unused things; no sprites from past games were found AFAIK.

b) it's not a secret weapon.

- That said, it's ok if you want to continue, like pasting the entire MegaMan-pedia here in hope for some fireworks... -_-;;; since the New Year is coming. >_>

Bah, you bitter old thing. We were told from the start this was legit, and I shall continue to believe it. However, there's certainly no need for us to keep spamming this. Or get so hung up on this. If we just continue to play around in the game, it will be found. Not if we continue to speculate on here for all eternity.

After all, scientists would accomplish nothing if they just hypothesized all day. It's busy work.

- The cover artwork, designed by Gerald de Jesus of i am 8-bit, is reminiscent of the U.S. boxart for the original Mega Man game. According to Capcom employee Chris Kramer, the marketing group felt that if they were going to release a game that looked like it came from 1987, it would be best to have the marketing campaign reflect that.
- The description on the back of the MM9 boxart is ripped from the MM1 (US) boxart.
- Capcom's old mascot, Captain Commando returns in the upper left hand corner on the back of the box.
- There is no Japanese boxart for Rockman 9...?

Could any of these be the nugget?

Awesome post, but no, none of these items are the nugget.

I made a quick post a while back saying I might have some news on the secret.  The situation at the time was basically that there was someone who I thought might have discovered it, but it turns out they had not Cry

As before, if someone does discover it (and I know that it has been discovered), I'll be sure to tell everyone what it is. It was never my intention to create such a massive search effort, and while I wouldn't encourage anyone to join the hunt, it has certainly turned up lots of really interesting tidbits I'd guess would have stayed buried otherwise.  Very impressed by the already-amazing MM community.

As always, it is real, and it is a notable nugget, though will likely not turn your world upside down.

best,

Seth

- Of course, as expected. Good try by the way, DZX.

- Yup, that was Rockman2900. And that was the reason for my Rick Rolled video/picture about his video. Oh well...
