Have you guys though of continuing the 3rd game any time this year? In all honesty, you guys are a wonderful company. You Resident Evil games are great, Devil May Cry is great, Okami and some others are wonderful as well. But the thing I don't like about you guys is that you don't care too much about fans. Had you cared about fans, you would have released Maximo 3 in 2007/2008 regardless of the sales of Maximo 2. I went and checked VGCharts.com to see just how badly Maximo 2 sold, and I was shocked to see that it sold less than 10,000 copies. It's very sad. But it's because YOU guys messed up. You guys released ONE trailer that lasted less than 2 minutes and a couple of screenshots. That's all you did for Maximo 2. You didn't care to advertise it at all. Had you advertised it like you do with your Devil May Cry series, I garuntee you that the game would have sold MUCH MUCH MUCH better than it did. I know you guys have much bigger franchises that sell tons of money to care about, but you should do something for fans. Just once. The Maximo fans. Create a great, final game on the 360/ps3 with great, challenging gameplay, cartoony visuals, great CG cutscenes and everything that makes the game a Maximo game for us Maximo fans. And if you guys want sales, advertise it alot. That's all it takes. So, will Maximo ever get another chance, or will you guys just forget about it forever and just make 5,000 Resident Evil and Devil May Cry games? |

Two points... vgcharz.com numbers aren't accurate. That said, indeed sales were not adequate to support a sequel. Will there be another some day? Maybe. But to ignore what the market hasn't supported isn't exactly a good way to keep having the solvency necessary to continue making games that our fans want. I certainly realize even our least successful games (those less successful than Maximo2) have avid fans. We listen to our fans very closely. But listening doesn't always mean charging down a path that isn't in the company's best interests. It's a fine line to walk.

Thanks for the comment........................... but I don't get what you're trying to say. So will there ever be a possible maximo sequel? You work at CAPCOM, correct? Can't you atleast ask someone to think about it? |

It's possible, but I suspect no time soon. For the moment, the Maximo franchise is resting.

I'd love to see him thrown into a fighting game... like Tatsunoko vs. Capcom, but minus the whole "everyone you want to play as is in a game you can't play" context. --LBD "Nytetrayn" |
