First post ;) yay!!!

I am going to buy SFIV from japan when its released in febuary nxt year but as I love the whole street fighter story I would like to know if the game will come with English subtitles for ingame play and on the included animated movie/episode.

I have never been a fan of English dubs on street fighter (games and animated movies) they just seem to lack the real depth street fighter has to offer.

Also I really don't want to wait a long time probaly for the UK version to come out but if I cannot understand the game I may have too :(

Thanks

I agree with you to a large degree but in the Alpha OVA:

English Dub >>>>>>>>> Japanese

I couldn't stand hearing it in Japanese after listening to the English dub. Skip Stellrecht nailed Ryu's character through his voice perfectly.

The US version of SFIV is supposedly coming out around the sametime as the Japanese version, so there's no point in importing the Japanese version.

The US version is also supposed to have the option to switch between Japanese and English voices, and I don't know if they were able to accomplish this, but a couple months ago it was stated that Capcom wanted to include the ability to switch individual character voices between Japanese and English, so if you like Ryu's Japanese voice and Ken's English voice you could set it up that way.

Actually, I believe that voice by voice region select feature is still in.

As for importing... well, that's up to you but it's like paying $20 more for the same game. :)

Just want to say that I love it when games offer the feature to hear the dialog in either English or Japanese with subtitles. Most of the time I do listen to the games in Japanese with subs. Big up to Namco / Bandai who has thus far done this with every PS3 game I have purchased from them - Dynasty Warriors Gundam, Dragon Ball Z Burst Limit, Soul Calibur IV and Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm. ^_^
Currently Playing: SFxT on PS3, Disgaea 3 and UMVC3 on Vita
Soon To Be Playing: Dragon's Dogma, Gravity Rush
