Onimusha: Essentials?

Is this collection still even coming out? It's been delayed every week for over a month (at least according to Gamestop). The peculiar thing is that two weeks ago they looked it up in the system and it said it was shipping. Then it got delayed again. And again. What's going on?

still no answer, and still no Onimusha Essentials in stores.

i mean, i know that sticking three existing games into a cardboard box is a logistical nightmare, but come on now.

how do you mess that up so bad that you have to keep delaying it?

I have seen it available aready in microplay.  For some reason it's not relased everywhere like walmart, or toys r us.  It seems to flow through stores that specifically sell video games.  I have not tried checking EB

yeah, i've seen it on amazon, but i don't prefer ordering games online because of the likelihood that they'll be damaged and the tedium of returning them if this is the case.

but i've never seen it in a store, and as far as i can tell, no Gamestop within 100 miles of me has ever gotten a copy in.

a couple weeks ago i tried pre-ordering it, the guy at GS looked it up and said i couldn't pre-order it because it "already shipped". and of course two weeks later, still no Onimusha Essentials has ever arrived.

Wow.  I did not know how rare it is to find.  I already have all 3 games but if I didn't then yeah I would jump at the chance at first sight.

They should of included the dawn of dreams game along with it.  That was a rare game to find that I ended up buying it used.

well, Gamestop's site says this is now in stock at my nearby stores, so i'll go down at lunch and see if it's really there.

a Wal-Mart nearby actually had a couple new copies of Dawn of Dreams, so i grabbed one. like two months ago. when Onimusha Essentials was SUPPOSED to come out.

It really makes me wonder where some games are being kept.  Sometimes a game would be missing and then would just pop up in a package.  Don't tel me game companies made more copies cause in the end it's jsut the same packaged games but wrapped in a sleave box.

I had major problems with this on the GBA games.  You either buy it for full price or it disappears.  Funny market.

We've had some rights issues to resolve before we could release it (specifically related to music). It should be hitting shelves shortly.

Was there a reason why dawn of dreams was not included?  I would think that is essential.

If ever there was an example of a video game playing as if your watching a movie this would be it.

Great story, great directing, great script, great voice acting.

I believe a new final fight game could be made with great cutscenes and a storyline that makes you want to know what happens next.  Onimusha DoD is a great example of playing a movie.
