Comment? Because alot of guys speculated that Chop till you Drop was a stop gap project while DR2 would be worked on for other consoles.

why would you make a wii game port of a game built for a next-gen (I guess current Gen now) console.
The Wii is struggling with CTYD and interest in it is fading. Capcom is not going to take a second shot at DR on teh wii untill the first one either succeeds or fails.

No, don't make this another Wii argument...

Anyway, that's pretty suprising. I mean, that means Capcom in Kyoto is to busy with other projects. It's risky though. One of their stronger new IP's and allready lending it out. Very risky.

Thank you for posting that because it gives me an opportunity to share with everyone here, the mods who constantly bash the Wii and Sven a breakdown of some sales numbers.

Devil May Cry 4                          360/PS3              2,350,000
Lost Planet Extreme Con         360                  1,500,000
Dead Rising                                             360               1,400,000

Resident Evil 4 Wii edition        Wii                   1,400,000
Resident Evil: Umbr. Chr.         Wii                   1,150,000

As you can see when Capcom puts their good games on Wii the sales are comparible to those on the HD consoles. As far as sales are concerned there is no reason not to put DR2 on the Wii. Now take into account that HD games cost A LOT more to make than a Wii game and that all of Capcom's Wii games have had ZERO advertising and you can see how much more profitable Wii versions can be when they are selling almost the same numbers.

That said I don't want DR2 on the Wii because the game is basically a demo for processing power. Sure something similar could be done on Wii, but it's clear Capcom has no intention to put forth the effort and budget necessary to make a comparible game. AS CTYD clearly shows Capcom thinks Wii owners will be happy with 6 zombies on screen and they aren't going to lift a finger to try and put more in. (Where is that PS2 Hitman 2 video?)

Don't make another Wii argument

As long as Capcom continues to ignore their own sales data and put forth the idea that certain games won't sell on the Wii or that there is no interest in said games these arguments have to be made.

Thank you Capcom, for doing exactly what Wii owners thought you were doing; screwing us over to hype a game we won't get. "Multiplatform" strategy my ass, as well as giving platforms the appropriate support and effort.

This really goes in circles, and it certainly isn't us. Good luck hitting the projected 500.000 units sold with that piece of turd as I for one won't contribute to finance HD projects buying crap efforts in the process.

It's all rumors and speculation until someone at Capcom says otherwise.
