First of, many thanks to Capcom for bringing this game to the PC audience. As a long time fan of the SF series i am glad to see it come to my platform of choice. I have a few questions if someone at Capcom wouldnt mind to answer... Why did you choose to bring SF4 to the PC? It is simply because the arcade board is essentially made of a modified PC or because you truly saw an opportunity to bring SF to a new audience. Does this mean that Capcom sees the PC market viable enough for fighters? And is it safe to say that we might see other Capcom fighters in the future? It has been years since Capcom has had a fighter for the PC, so i hope all goes well with the development. |

While we do strongly believe in the strength of the PC platform, fighters historically have not been strong sellers. Its development is an outcropping of the fact that the arcade version is effectively a PC version (a Taito X2 is pretty much a PC) and we'd like to learn something about the PC market for fighters (no one has seriously tried in years). Bear in mind though, this is not some "cheap" port. There's loads of optimization up and down the scale that has to happen when you aren't building on a known spec (like an arcade board). We also have a few curveballs planned...

What a tease Sven. Also you guys have my respect for trying to bring a fighter to the PC market. I can see where it can be a risk.. but like in all industries, sometimes you need to take risk in order to open up a new market. So i wish you guys all the success, im sure if you guys market it well then it will sell accordingly. Do you think we will hear something about the PC version before the end of the year?

Even though you probably can't answer... any word on if the PC version will feature cross-platform multiplayer - be it with the 360 or PS3? I've probably asked this before in the past, but my memory fails me at the moment. A lot of my buddies are console-centric, so being able to play with them while using the undoubtedly superior PC version would be very nice.
wait, what?

Since it's a fighting game about competition, it would make a lot of sense to play online with 360 owners. I hope this happens, especially since I just sold my 360, but I still got my awsome ps3

There has only been a handful of games that had cross-platform play.. But its up to Capcom to make the infrastructure for that. So i think we wont really see it. What i am curious about is if Capcom will make this a Games For Windows Live product. Seeing how its up for a revamp for the launch of GTA4 in December, maybe they will take advantage of the new features. Who knows... |

We'll shed more light on the PC details when we're a bit closer to the PC release, so for now, I have to keep you in suspense. The focus for the moment is on the 360/PS3.
