Title, plus i know Madcatz is making some SF4 arcade sticks, but word on the street is that Madcatz' products arent very reliable. So is capcom going to oversee the projects and make sure they are reliable. Or is Capcom just going to let Madcatz do its thing

We've been involved from the very beginning in the design process. They were just in our offices this week even to go over final issues.

These things are going to be amazing. Best stick on the market. Period.

Details are coming very soon.

Has there ever been any firm info from MadCatz/Capcom re: Price and release date?  Obviously the stick is designed for SF4 and all... but I'd love to only buy that and be able to use it on SFHD instead of making due with a Hori for a few months.

@ Steve,

I've seen the sticks and pads that they are making on various forums. Heres one link,

http://www.gamemanx.com/arcade-sticks/update-street-fighter-4-arcade-joysticks-and-controllers/2008/09/12/

In one of the links, I belive it was gamespot.com's forums. They listed the prices for the sticks and pads. The high end uber awesome stick was $140, The budget sticks were $69.99, and the pads were listed as $39.99 or $49.99 (I cannot recall which price it was).

Ofcourse, this is just what I saw. Neither Capcom nor Madcatz has made any announcement of the price tags.

Best?
I don't know about that. Looks just as bad/good (you decide) as the competitors stick shown below.
I mean I'm still getting the SFIV stick first over this but I don't like ball sticks so it will probably just sit in the box until my custom one breaks. Still kind of dissapointed because I was looking forward to a SF Anniversary type stick.

Do they use ball sticks in SFIV Arcade version? From videos I've seen of the arcade version I think they do. So if that's the case then I understand why they used ball sticks for the home version.

XBOX 360 REAL ARCADE PRO EX

I promise you, they are far better than the EXes. Even the non-premium stick.Cool

It's what's inside and some other design considerations that you can't see (that we haven't revealed yet) that counts.

Just a little longer and it will all be made clear. We're waiting for MadCatz to announce something and then we'll detail the sticks pricing, availability and special design features that no other sticks have.

If after that reveal, you're not impressed, obviously, you can still go buy an EX. I'm just saying, it probably makes sense to wait a little longer to see what we've got before you make any decisions and risk having buyer's remorse.

On the topic of pads, there's nothing else like them on the market, so that's an easy differentiator.  I'm normally not a fan of pads but these are probably the best fighting game pads since the Saturn (waaaay better than stock pads).

Both will be at retail and carried in the Capcom Store.

Sven, is there really that big of a difference between the high end sticksand the low end sticks....are there features in the high end stick that are needed that wont be in the low end stick..cos i dont want to spend over 80 bucks for a stick, but at the same time i dont want to buy a lower quality stick.
