I would give my left nut for ST:HDR on PC. The news of SF4 on PC amazed me, and I desperately want to support Capcom for doing that. In light of that, not porting ST:HDR to PC seems like a missed opportunity. There doesn't seem to be any good technical reason for not releasing a PC version (unlike a Wii version) - GGPO has shown the netcode can be done, there is no download restriction size, and there isn't a performance restriction... only a possible distribution restriction. I would have thought Steam or similar would be more than adequate to take care of that, however. The number of people saying they will get SF4 on the PC on forums such as Shoryuken gives me some reason to believe it won't be a waste of Capcom's time for that release, and the potential is that it is the same for this one. Capcom let me down in the past with Super Puzzle Fighter not being brought to PC (I would still buy it if it came out), I'd love to have them change things with this release. |
