Anyways, I'd like some hard confirmation that Shantae will come to download services on systems. And don't make it just be Wii Ware. XBLA is much better suited for a typical side scroller like that. Wii Ware should be things that use the wii's motion controls.
I totally disagree on this, given Mega Man 9. The alternative for me is playing it on Xbox Live, but I don't care for the controller nearly as much for it. The Wii remote feels much more precise.
As far as Dinsey goes Capcom no longer owns the rights to produce Disney games. Disney makes their own games now, not to mention Disney is probably the most difficult company on the planet to work with, thus nobody really looks forward to working with them or even really wants to for that matter.
But, I'm sure it would be somewhat feasible.
Not really.
Disney games are made by square aren't they and they're not directly related.
No, Square makes the Kingdom Hearts games and only the KH games for Disney. They do not make various Disney games, unless you want to start listing off all the various Duck Tales, Aladdin, etc, games they've made.
The other thing you have to realize is that both companies have alot invested in KH to the point where there's no reason to not continue the series. It's not the same situation as something like a Duck Tales game, which wouldn't even do 1/100 of the buisness that a KH game does.
I mean I think you guys should at least try your best to make it happen. Rare did everything they could to get a release of goldeneye on XBLA, and honestly just the fact that they tried so hard is just really cool.
It's nowhere near the same situation.
Sad to say, but this is where and part of why piracy comes in.

It's not much of a problem for Capcom as it's Disney that stands to make the most off a re-release not Capcom, plus it's not like there's alot of people pirating it or requesting it even that it really makes any sort of difference.
There's no point in continuing to make family games like Z&W if something like Z&W doesn't sell.

I'd also like to point out that if you pay attention to anyone in the industry they'll tell you that someone like Capcom is really on target right now with alot of their upcoming internally developed titles along with the risks that they're taking venturing out to develop with western developers as is the case with Bionic Commando and Dark Void, then there's all the digital titles that Capcom has been really working at too, like SF2HD, Age of Booty, etc.
Now what has Rare done recently? Viva Pianta, which didn't do well, and a new Banjo game, while putting up XBLA ports, but not any actual new games.
Rare isn't even in the same league as Capcom right now. Rare peaked in the N64 era, so why should Capcom being trying to copy a company that's only doing average right now?
Zack and Wiki was a very obscure game though and it had little to no advertising. So of course it didn't sell.
Now, if you make a game that would have mass appeal (say a platformer in the style of Mario and Banjo) and if it was advertised properly, it would sell like hotcakes.

"How many Wii titles have online co-op, even from Nintendo?" - Sven... so you want Capcom to be as mediocre as the rest of Wii developers? Figures.

When are you going to learn that there is no guarantees in this buisness.
You keep spewing that same crap over and over again despite the fact that there are games that had alot of advertising that didn't sell well, games with no advertising that sold well (due to word of mouth) games that got horrible reviews that sold well, games that got good reviews that didn't sell well, etc.
Despite what you may think or believe, you're wrong. It's as simple as that. I know you want to believe that everything you say is right and that you couldn't possibly be wrong, but that's not how it works.

Well, in regards to games that won't be or are highly unlikely to be re-released in any way shape or form. Strikes me as something of a possible gateway drug, so to speak.
I guess you could consider it a gateway drug, but most hardcore gamers I'm sure have done it at one time or another as I'm sure you're aware of, yet it doesn't really seem to damage the digital market because once the game becomes available for download, people DL it because there's something about having it properly available on your console compared to some rom port. For instance think about how many people had roms of Mario RPG, Chrono Trigger, etc, for all these years, but yet once those games were re-released they did really well, so ultimately it doesn't matter.
Another example would be that of Marvel Vs Capcom 2, it's not easily available, nor is it heavily pirated as a result, and when/if it gets a re-release it's going to do well.
Spore was leaked online a week early and heavily pirated, but at the sametime still sold extremely well.
Piracy isn't going to make a huge dent in anything that is in high demand, because once said thing is available for purchase it's going to sell.
Zack & Wiki is not a family game. It's an anime game that Capcom foolishly marketed as a family game because that's what they believe sells on the Wii.

See, look at TAS getting all pissy again. There was nothing wrong with what I said, but you always have to throw in insults.
Exactly, just how you guaranteed that a family game wouldn't sell.
Oh, who does that remind you of? Jesus TAS, you're impossible.

Seems like he knows what he's talking about, it's just the honest truth of how the industry works.

How do you know the sales of Mario RPG on virtual console? I dont remember Nintendo releasing that info.
