A devil may cry on the psp is a great idea to bring both fans of the series and newcommers to the psp.And psp owners get a stylish action game for them.

I think that if capcom want to succed on the psp,it must feel like a handled game.A game that have feature unique that are designed for the psp.A game that need the psp to be good.By doing so,im sure people will be interested and capcom will get a load of money using a portable that didn`t helped capcom a lot in the past.

That devil may cry game for the psp is either it not in devloppement and it a rumor or the game was cancelled or nobody sayed that a dmc game was in devloppement for it.Can capcom answer, please

It's not in development. Devil May Cry 4 producer is currently working on Basara Battle Heroes (PSP). he himself said that it's his first handheld game.

From what I've seen on this site, Sven is a nice guy who rarely refuses to answer question. That he can't even confirm the game exists, speaks a ton.

I'm still playing Sf a3 on my psp... I need more time!!!!

Heh, that's exactly what we were playing at work all the time, and while SFA3 is good, I prefer Super Turbo, hence my constant nagging for a PSP version. :P

Sven

Thanks for at least leaving the door open for SSF2THDR on PSP. Not to harp on it too much, but is there anything in particular Capcom is waiting for before committing to this?

If ssf2thdr can be downloaded on the psp,i think people would be interested but i just dont see a stand alone version of a game that can be dowloaded on xbox live and psn.And at the same time,im not sure people will be interested in a stand alone psp version. For a reasonnable price, maybe but a compilation would be the way to go for it.

It can be downloaded on PS3/360, but you still can't pack up either one of those systems and take them with you like you can the PSP. That's why I think people would want it: it's a no-nonsense game that lends itself well to short bursts of play (if you want to play someone else you can get a few rounds in during a 10 minute break, or even more in during arcade mode). I would suspect that a PSP version would go for a similar price as the PS3 version: either $14.99 or $9.99 would be more than acceptable to me.

A compillation would be a better idea. For exemple, the re-release of bionic commando, mega man 9,ssf2thdr are popular gamer on online system. My idea here is to put all 3 games together on the psp.The only thing is that bionic commando would need a graphics downsize because the psp isn`t a next-gen.But it would work well. And the compilation would be compatible online to download content for each game or play online. For exemple, megaman 9 have dowloadable content so the same should be bring to the psp.And ssf2thdr should have online and wireless so people can beat the **** out of each other with only one umd.

I wouldn't mind seeing Mega Man 9 on the PSP, but I agree that Bionic Commando would be problematic with the graphics being downsized. Again, I have nothing against compilations but they will take more effort (and money from Capcom) to get right than a single sure-selling title will. Especially when you consider that any compilation will likely cost more than any of those single titles would if sold separately. (In other words: a compilation would likely push $19.99 or higher if it had two or three games in it in order to recoup the investment made by Capcom).

If I recall correctly, Sven mentioned that the compilations didn't sell well on the PSP/UMD. So that may be a good reason to avoid them as well.

I'd buy Dinocrisis and the sequel on PSP, or even resident evil's psone outings...slightly remastered and with some extras would be nice but not a major overhaul. any chance of that, sven?

I read Capcom will release some of their PSone classics on PSN in 2009.

i wish they would make a martial arts mmorpg for the psp, but with something that can be similiar to the online play as monster hunter.......

then again, capcom should make that fake teaser trailer of mvc3 a reality, but for the psp.............

or that capcom allstars video game another touch up and hit it up for the psp.......

.......all these discriptions are is just dreams that may actually never come true. so why entertain your imaginations for these "next-gen" console potientials????????? because they get fans like me amped to make them when i "begin training" *going to college*. capcom really do have thier hands full with multiple projects, and thier publishers are pretty much the ones to blame. i mean put it this way......

you want to make this game, right; but then a publisher comes along with an idea he wants you to do. they'll give you top dollar (or enough for you to make a liviing off of) to make it, but you are also given a set time frame to make it..... depending on this time frame, the game you may want to publish needs this dividends to make it happen, but then once you get that publisher's game underway, another publisher rears its head up and give you another game to develop........ and so ends the time that you wanted to make your game, into making other publisher's games...... that kind of happens in life.....you dont know when you are able to take a break and finish your project, so they in terms, get "scrapped"..........

the fighting genre must live on.......
