Wouldn't make sense to be honest. Capcom risks alienating PS3 owners with little gain with such a deal.

C'mon. How many PS3 owners seriously cared about Monster Hunter? The only thing they saw when MH3 was announced for the Wii was a lost exclusive. Also, the PS3 install base has grown since then and DMC4 has shown Capcom that their games sell just as well, and better in some cases, on the PS3.

And Metal Gear Solid 4 put up some extremely good 1st week Japan numbers by selling on par with the PS2 MGS games 1st week sales and has outsold every other PS3 game in Japan in it's first week.

The assertion is false. RE5 is a multiplatform release that fits with our oft-stated crossplatform strategy.

Actually, there are quite a few of us here who love MH. For many of us, it was one of the main reasons we purchased a PS3. Of course there are other great games on the system like MGS4, but there were quite a few of us looking forward to MH. I know that eventually we will get out MH goodnes on PS3, but it sucks having to wait soooo long. Monster Hunter may not be your cup o' tea, but just like you don't really care for MH, I don't really care about the SF series.

A mulitiplatoform release that will release at the same time as in day and date? As we already know it's a mulitplatform release the real question is timing for each SKU here. You really didn't say anything about the timing issue. Because really that is the question at hand, and you know for a fact that Microsoft has not made an offer to Capcom Japan for timed exclusivity?
