Fair enough and you have no idea if Microsoft has made an offer very recently ( or any time for that matter) to Capcom Japan?

If DMC4's release proved anything, it's that multiplatform releases bode well for Capcom.  The game surpassed the company's targets, and thanks to Japan, the PS3 game outsold the 360 one worldwide.  RE's franchise viability is even greater, so any exclusivity to either hardware manufacturer at this point could potentially hurt no one but Capcom in the long run.

I think we have known for quite some time that this would be a multiplatform simultaneous release, but if the dynamic has changed and the Executives in Japan have an offer, especially one that could have occurred very recently, that could change this in an instant.

So no word if Microsoft has made an offer to Capcom Japan recently or any time for that matter?  This is a very key part of the story.

They have alienated PS3 owners before. When they moved MH Tri from the PS3 to the Wii

C'mon. How many PS3 owners seriously cared about Monster Hunter? The only thing they saw when MH3 was announced for the Wii was a lost exclusive. Also, the PS3 install base has grown since then and DMC4 has shown Capcom that their games sell just as well, and better in some cases, on the PS3.

I care about Monster Hunter. And a lot of people. MH3 for PS3 was always in the top places in the Famitsu Most Wanted ranking until it was cancelled. It would have a big system seller in Japan.

I also know a couple of MH related forums in Spanish with 1900+ and 2400+ users, a lot compared to other games. It's easy to see there users with 600+ or even 1000+ hours of play in each PSP game. Also there are other forums where the Monster Hunter category/thread is really, really huge.

It isn't a random game. And being really hardcore player targetted, I think it fit better in a home console like PS3 or 360 than in the Wii. I understand Capcom would target the console with bigger userbase and cheaper developing cost (would be easier to port the engine to Wii than to the PS3, and it will help to port directly to PSP future titles).

The budget of a proper MH for PS3 maybe would be too high seeing the potential worldwide sales. BTW, the Wii version was announced, but there is no oficial word from Capcom confirming the PS3 was cancelled.

So, can we assume from the non-answer that you may not know if Microsoft has approched Capcom Japan recently with an offer or you just can't say? My guess would be the former.

Sorry guys, but an answer to this is not relevant.
