Quick Question on Capcom vs. Tatsunoko

Hey,

I'm not exactly sure how the 360 works with importing.  I know the PS3 is region free so i assume you can play imported games on it.  Is their a possibility of releasing this game region free in Japan (for 360)?  Im sure many people, including me, would import this game in an instant if we could play it on our US 360s.

Thanks for yout time!

We haven't discussed any home console plans for the title yet, so platform discussions are a bit premature. All that's been anounced is arcade.

I still don't know anything about console releases (or anything apart from arcade), but I remember asking the same thing (I have played this game, and <3 the Capcom vs Tatsunoko a lot).  I don't remember the specifics of the answer, but it was looking like this was not possible for some non-Capcom related reason.

I know that's not a very specific answer, I just remember asking and being essentially shot down.

best,

Seth

Seth or Sven, can CvT have it's own forum? The game is being (loke) tested in 2 weeks.

Seth: You've played it? Please tell me it dosen't have that cheesy/campy elevator music ala MvC2.

I can only hope to see this game at SDCC or Evo as a suprise.

We're hoping to use a couple of the arcade cabinets at Comic-con for at least SOME portion of the time to show it off (mostly they'll be dedicated to SFIV, but we'll steal a couple hours a day for TvC).

No promises, but that's what we're pushing for.

Is a U.S. release for this title likely?

Not determined yet. There are a lot of licensing issues around the title given that those properties are held by different companies across the West and they vary by territory greatly. It was created as a Japan-only project but we're investigating.

So, can I ask a question too? I was looking at the Capcom vs. Tatsunoko website and I saw in the last page of that digital book (or whatever that is). Anyway, in the last page there is a CAPCOM 25th anniversary image, but there also is some characters from various capcom games. Those characters will be available to play? Or that is just a CAPCOM anniversary announcement?? (I'm hopping so... there was a cat warrior from MH and also Nero from DMC4 ... O_O )
