If? There would be no advantages. Like every other Wii game, swinging the controller would just replace what was once a button press. Oh and you'd have to hold the remote up to your ear to hear Otis further crippling your ability to actually control the game

yeah, because that's such an upgrade from RE4 who only managed to have one zombie with as many polygons as Snake on the PS2 at once. (infact it could a load more than that and here you have double the power; then the fact Dead rising started to be planned on PS2, a system inferior to GC, let alone Wii, comes to mind)

But I digress, it's not like I care. Enjoy your trolling sir.

It was a joke (not trolling), and Wii would definetly have far less Zombies than the 360 version. And considering the high Zombie count was the whole point of the game....

The Wii could handle a variation of this game, it's called scalability. LOD.

This kind of ignorance seems to be quite common with console only gamers, especially the former PS2 guys(kids).

PC games have always been designed to accommodate a wide range of system specs, so that the guy on the bottom will still be able to enjoy the same game as the guy with the uber setup, just with less eyecandy. Why should it be any different on consoles? Especially when the little guy this time around has more power than the big guy of last generation.

COD4 engine is being developed for the Wii and it runs at 60 fps according to the developers. There were plenty of buffoons spouting how this engine could not run on the Wii.  The Wii only has to push around 480p and it has more than enough hoarse power to do so.  We're not assuming that the Wii can push around as many polygons and textures as a the other consoles, but at least were not so naive as some, where as we believe it's no better than a PS2.

Plenty of 360 games slow down when running 1080p, so maybe that systems should go back down to a lower rez. This comment is just as silly as stating the Wii can't handle more than one zombie, but then again, games like Halo 3 only supported 6"4"0p from what I recall. Hmmmmmmmm.

You claim we're ignorant, while being so yourself.

If we were to compare it to LOD methods available for weaker hardware, DR on Wii would end up looking like Dynasty Warriors on PS2, with a draw distance of about 10 feet and massive fog. It's be slightly better than that, but not by much.

That's not the kind of DR I'd want to play

Plenty of 360 games slow down when running 1080p,

DR doesn't run at 1080p. We're discussing DR, not COD or any other game.

As was said previously, it was a joke/exaggeration/sarcasm.

And partially true, the amount of zombies on screen on wii would be extremely crippled compared to 360, which defeats the point of the game. And DR still slowed down on 360 when the swat team was shooting

Wii is not capable of the kind of gameplay Dead Rising represents

Go play Metroid on the wii so you can feel the desire to choke Bill Gates for not giving you a "xboxmote" so you can play halo and all its copies (every 360 game but RPGs) the way the lord intended them to be played. Furthermore, any control scheme that is made more intuitive because one of the buttons became a waggle is a better game (by that I mean good wii games, c*** counts for nothing, as every former ps2 owner knows). I hate those four buttons that feel exactly the same to your thumb.

Didnt know that one. Is it for Quantum Solace? So, if the Wii gets a COD4 engine version, a unreal engine 3 version and the HVS's engine, I guess we'll be alright, regardless of Capcom's policy towards the white console. Though I already am OK with wii's future titles (capcom could just hand out more of those, but whatever...) and I dont care about DR, so I shouldnt be in this thread anyway... Btw, anyone knows if capcom has a wii-specific engine of some sort?
