Here's a pic of someone with a striking resemblance to s-kill at an E3 party back in '06. Who says game devs can't party?
Home Arcade Cab
I've posted some pics of my most recent project. I took an old Tekken 2 conversion cab and turned it into console cab. I used competition buttons and sticks and wired everything to jamma standard.
(Wiring for the controls.)
(The PS2 and Xbox boards mounted.)
I installed a ps2 and xbox jamma conversion kit which allows this machine to play just about every arcade game released on console during the last gen.
A new controller panel had to be cut out with a 6 button layout and a new plexi top for protection.
And yes... I even installed cup holders :)
I used a PC 2.1 speaker set up for the audio and used an old PC power supply to power the boards and coin door if needed.
Thanks to Drew J. and Joe W. for helping me out on some electronics questions during asembly.
If you have the time, the space, and the funds, these can be really fun projects that bring back memories of pizza, beer, and great games.
