So, there I was, working like a damn bastard and arguing with a friend about stupid things - like how cool was that Kristen Kreuk was able to go to Comic-Con to just spend a few moments with her fans and Street Fighter upcoming movie fans.

By that time I was already starting to question where the heck was Degeneration or RE5 exclusive trailers? Suddenly, my friend sent me the trailer for RE:D posted on IGN. Gotta say that I was too damn concerned about what would be on it because, to be honest, I'm one of those that don't like RE movies - even aware that some people may like it (just can't take Alice -__-)

So, after that annoying advertising and installing their player, gave it a few minutes to load the trailer, which actually was a spendable time for me to finish my design. Then, play!

AND let me degenerate the **** on... =D~

 - The Good (Hell Yeah things!)-

First thing I would like to noticed is that it was a brilliant idea to put Resident Evil 2 soundtrack along the trailer, and I'm sure lots of fans like it too - we all hope that the same tracks will be in the final version of the movie.

Of course this is the first thing I will tell you all as the trailer begins with that creepy song from the prologue of the game. I was wondering how much it would take until that bizarre voice begins to say: "A bizarre incident has occurs somewhere outside of Raccoon City" - not pretty sure if those are the words, though.

Another thing that needs to be pointed is that Leon and Claire 3D aspects are hugely great: okay, to be honest, is not like an Advent Children at all, but I'll give my compliments for the staff behind the computers who have done the entire thing. Claire's aspects, her eyes, hair and - especially - her lips, are much like to a real person. If we forget that empiric knowledge that it's just a CG movie, I would dare all of you to compare it with one of those "True or CG" from Autodesk's Gallery.

She surely looks fine... 

Leon seems like a true badass since RE4, and also skinnier than before, but his true motivations and will seem to have been really fixed this time, although my six sense tells me that it won't take any longer ‘till he starts making annoying jokes again...

Leon = Eastwood?

Oh, of course, my favorite, the ZOMBIES! They are creepier than ever and sounding truly like Romero's creatures - it's important to remind everyone of that old TV commercial that the Zombies' Master did for RE2. The scene in the picture below is still haunting my dreams...

So, that's why they are good B.O.W.: Mouth smells like sh....!

 - The Bad (or almost bad things) -

As good as the main characters are looking, 3D rendering, the other ones aren't. That first reporter speaking during the nuclear assault on Raccoon City really gives me the chills, such as the entire crowd before the lockdown in the airport. I know, it's something stupid, but...

Another thing that needs to be said is that the conception of the trailer wasn't that clarifying, due to the amount of short dialogues and lower information coming from it. We can't be sure why Leon is there, why the heck Claire is there and who the terrorists are (I know, that is all part of the scheme, but it's also the most important info about the movie).

Fans and non-fans are like: "Okay... Leon, Claire, Airport attacked by terrorists that are threatening to disperse the T-Virus into US populated area... and?" Yeah, kinda like I'm excited for a lot of shooting and action scenes, but I think the script may have a little more to show us that hasn't been showed yet and only God knows why. Or should I say, "Capcom knows why"?

The source of all evil...? (yeah, Judas Priest will sue me for that!)

Also a bad thing is that Degeneration seems a recall to Resident Evil 2 - which is lovely for old fans and the new ones are gonna be able to get a glimpse of what it was. However, I would not like to see the same thing over and over again. For example, Claire taking care of an innocent child during the event. Nor Leon getting involved with some strange chick....

Last but not least, a bad thing about the trailer is that all fans are getting more and more excited since the release date doesn't show up - okay, the thing will hit the Japanese in October, but when will it do the same in America? =D

So, the trailer has got that aspect of something new and unknown, contributing to the darkness among the scenes, bringing some sort of terror and suspense along with it, which makes it totally cool to be watched over and over again.  It is really a great job from Capcom to bring it out - a smart move too, ‘cause RE5 will be released on March from next year - and we are always wanting a few more. Let the Degeneration begins!
