Typically, devs want to sit on DLC announcements until they're near launch, but in this case our roster of DLC costumes for Ultimate MvC3 is so mind-blowingly cool we had to share it all months in advance. Today GameSpot has the first look at said lineup, which includes comments from Marvel's Chris Baker along with myself and Mikeeb.

We recently examined all of the pre-order DLC (which will be available to all in January), and in the coming weeks will have similar dissections of the elaborate costumes seen on GameSpot today. Personally, I'm flipping out over Skele-Arthur, Scarlett Spider, classic Spencer and the Mega Man X outft. I know the latter's not as cool as if he were in the game for real, but I'm still stoked to see that classic design flipping around and slashing fools X6-style.

Each pack has a different release date, and all are $4.00 PSN / 320 MSP. These are in addition to the existing MvC3 costumes for Ryu, Chris, Dante, Thor, Captain America and Iron Man, plus if you buy the DLC characters Jill or Shuma Gorath you get their alternate costumes for free. All of that content transfers over from MvC3 to UMvC3, so no, you don't have to buy the content again.
