I bought two collectors editions of Resident Evil 5 for the PS3. Normally I dont do that. The only games that I have done that for are Street Fighter 4 and Metal Gear Solid 4. These three have always been my "bread and butter" of gaming. Im kind of disappointed with RE5 however. I knew that there were some framerate issues with the PS3 version, but they had four years to develop the game. Im tired of games being developed for the Xbox because its "easier", while the PS3 version lacks. I bought two copies of the collectors edition and two of the nice hardcover collectors strategy guides. I consider the collectors guides to be art books. Anyways the gameplay of RE5 seems like RE4 all over again. That's not a bad thing as I like consistant gameplay. The scenarios and boss fights are way too similar to the other RE games. I dont see much originality in the combat scenarios. The graphics are not what I was expecting either. It's terrible when you see exclusive games like Metal Gear Solid 4 and Killzone 2 looking beautiful, yet multiplatform games like Resident Evil 5 looking horrible in comparison. Most multiplatform games are developed with the Xbox as the lead console. The game then never looks as nice on the PS3 or may have some flaws only on the PS3. The games that are developed with the PS3 as the lead console look beautiful on both consoles like Ghostbusters. I guess I cant really use that as an example. The game hasn't been released yet. If you start from the top and work your way down you wont miss anything. Im sure there are some exceptions but the majority of the time its true. I can only think of one or two games such as Dead Space or Army of Two that look and work great on both. Oh yeah speaking of "Xbots" and their precious Xbox talk, I was at a comic con wearing a Metal Gear shirt. One of the dealers told me that he wanted to play MGS4 but he'll wait until it gets ported to the Xbox. I sat there and laughed. The guy started to go on and on about the Xbox as if he were trying to sell me one. Very odd and almost creepy. It was almost like an infection or outbreak of the "Xbot" virus. The same goes for Gamestop. I can not go into a Gamestop without someone all but telling me I'm stupid for choosing the PS3 over the Xbox. Back on topic, I guess I should not complain too much. Resident Evil 5 could have been an exclusive to Xbox. I'm sure someone will read this, and blast me for my opinion and views. Everyone is entitled to theirs. Maybe I was just expecting the quaility in RE5 to atleast be equal to MGS4.

yea man im a little tired of getting the short end of the stick by companies who are too lazy to figure out the PS3. When a company like Konami can do it, theres no reason Capcom should be able to do it. I seriously think their partnership with MS goes deeper then we think. As far as the Gamestop employees? Arnt they supposed to be objectional? Thats a little annoying to hear that they hold a bias. The 360 is a piece of junk and a scam. People need to wake up. jawknee |

Dude honestly the games look so similar that you arguing about the differences between the PS3 and 360 version don't even frakking matter. It's not like we're talking about the Lost Planet port here.
sNsKidRE5 was designed to be a multi-platform game so comparing it to MGS4 and KZ2, which are exclusives, isn't justified at all.
I'm guessing you only own a PS3, so why do you care about what games look like on 360 if you're never going to play or own them? o.O'
I only own a PS3 and I'm quite happy with RE5. Sure it could have been better, but it's still an enjoyable game.
