I bought two collectors editions of Resident Evil 5 for the PS3. Normally I dont do that. The only games that I have done that for are Street Fighter 4 and Metal Gear Solid 4. These three have always been my "bread and butter" of gaming. Im kind of disappointed with RE5 however. I knew that there were some framerate issues with the PS3 version, but they had four years to develop the game. Im tired of games being developed for the Xbox because its "easier", while the PS3 version lacks. I bought two copies of the collectors edition and two of the nice hardcover collectors strategy guides. I consider the collectors guides to be art books. Anyways the gameplay of RE5 seems like RE4 all over again. That's not a bad thing as I like consistant gameplay. The scenarios and boss fights are way too similar to the other RE games. I dont see much originality in the combat scenarios. The graphics are not what I was expecting either. It's terrible when you see exclusive games like Metal Gear Solid 4 and Killzone 2 looking beautiful, yet multiplatform games like Resident Evil 5 looking horrible in comparison. Most multiplatform games are developed with the Xbox as the lead console. The game then never looks as nice on the PS3 or may have some flaws only on the PS3. The games that are developed with the PS3 as the lead console look beautiful on both consoles like Ghostbusters. I guess I cant really use that as an example. The game hasn't been released yet. If you start from the top and work your way down you wont miss anything. Im sure there are some exceptions but the majority of the time its true. I can only think of one or two games such as Dead Space or Army of Two that look and work great on both. Oh yeah speaking of "Xbots" and their precious Xbox talk, I was at a comic con wearing a Metal Gear shirt. One of the dealers told me that he wanted to play MGS4 but he'll wait until it gets ported to the Xbox. I sat there and laughed. The guy started to go on and on about the Xbox as if he were trying to sell me one. Very odd and almost creepy. It was almost like an infection or outbreak of the "Xbot" virus. The same goes for Gamestop. I can not go into a Gamestop without someone all but telling me I'm stupid for choosing the PS3 over the Xbox. Back on topic, I guess I should not complain too much. Resident Evil 5 could have been an exclusive to Xbox. I'm sure someone will read this, and blast me for my opinion and views. Everyone is entitled to theirs. Maybe I was just expecting the quaility in RE5 to atleast be equal to MGS4.
metal gear solid 4 vs resident evil 5 (ps3 exclusive vs mulit platform)
My first online ranked fight in Street Fighter 4
Ok so I was winning the fight but there was too much lag so I quit. I cant remember the person I was fighting. If this person comes to these forums and is reading this, sorry for pulling the plug. I dont want to win because of lag issues and vice versa. Sorry but maybe some other time. Someday our two warrior souls will meet again on the virtual battlefield lol. I did win my second fight though. There was some lag but not as bad as the first.
street fighter 4 collectors edition ps3 X2
i have two of the collectors edition for the ps3................i also have BLISTERS ON ME THUMBS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! lol wow i was worried about the game but dammmmmmmn. it controls just like street fighter 2 with a few enhancements. this game is unbelievable and for people who are pissed about sf3 characters not being in it...........SHUT THE HELL UP!!!!!!!!!!!!! go buy the sf anniversary game that came out a few years back. i still have mine with a 60 gig ps3.......im not complaining hehe. besides 3 was okay but 4 blows it away. i even like the cutscenes in it.....though i did not know guile was kens brother in law. with ken being my favorite since i first played street fighter 2 back in the early 90s (i think 91), i figured i would know that. guess not. i wonder if i just missed that or is this something new? either way bad ass game and glad i bought two copies of it. ALL HAIL CAPCOM!
Vampire Hunter D
So I just watched Vampire Hunter D(1985) again for the bazillionth time. Ive been a fan of it since I was about 15. Its actually what got me into anime. Anyways I was wondering what if he was a Capcom game. I know that Urban Vision owns rights to the anime and if I remember the psone game that came out was made by Jaelco. Im not sure if Jaelco is still in business but man it would be amazing to see a real VHD game done by Capcom. Hell could you imagine him being in one of the Capcom vs games? Yeah that would be badass. If its Urban Vison they would have to go through, they also own the rights to Gatchaman, Golgo 13, Ninja Scroll the series and Wicked City. Oh well I could always dream.
Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo HD Remix!!!!
Ok Ive been playing this for a while now and I know there are still some bugs to work out but dammmmmmn this is great. I have to say I would have payed more than 15 bucks for it. Its funny that out of all my PS3 games that Ive bought, this one is the best fighting game so far. Wish I could have gotten one of the press kits but I got paid a day too late.....:( Its ok I guess because Im about 200 bucks shy from my Street Fighter 2 Champion Edition arcade machine. Ive wanted one since I was about 10 or 11.
