    Gameknights SFIV Grand Finals

    Sunday, October 18, 2009, 04:27 PM [General]

About 3 weeks ago, a local venue ran a Fighting Game themed event. While a great majority of the players involved were Halo pros with nothing better to do on a Saturday, there were a handfull of players that shined. Of those players, one CanadianDstyry and one Frank Battle rose to the top to meet in an epic struggle in the SF:IV Grand Finals.

    Finally got an arcade stick

    Tuesday, August 4, 2009, 05:54 PM [General]

I finally put some money up to get a quality arcade stick. My game hit somthing of a wall on the 360 Controler and when I looked at the tape, errors in execution was somthing I needed to adress. With an arcade stick, that process has been a step foward but 2 steps back. Some combos are easier, but some things I used to do without effort just aren't happening like they used to. That said, I've only been at it for a day, but things are looking good.

That said, to the folks at Unity, what can you tell me about Octagonal Gates vs Square Gates, making the buttons a little more resistant (as it stands, a light breeze will register as inputs on this thing), and any tips you can come up with regarding making such a dramatic switch.

yeah, swap the gates & you'll be golden. That's all you need, everything in that stick is quality sanwa parts. Great buttons, great stick. The aesthetics are up to you, but you don't need anything other than a new gate, I would say.

Canadian, I was dropping by to tell you that I've started up a thread through the Xbox Live Users group that you are a member of. The thread which can be found here: www.capcom-unity.com/xbox... is designed to allow fellow Live users to share their gamertags with one another. I'm hoping that if we get enough users to share their gamertags by the time SF4 hits store shelves we'll be able create group-wide tournaments and leader-boards. Please visit the link posted above and post your gamertag if you are up to it.

    Thanks again!
