well considering her main "outfit" is walking around naked. I like some I have seen sneaked from Cross-Edge, like her nun outfit, which we also see in her opening during fights in Marvel vs Capcom 2. Or something as comical as putting a swim suit over her fur covered body. |

what has been covered in this thread. 1: New Graphics (either TvC or SFIV or Blue Blaze quality) in other words, cel-shaded, 3-D but on a 2-D plane, or anime quality. 2: Bring back all existing characters, and perhaps slightly age some like B.B. Hood and Anita to make Anita a fighter and B.B. Hood a little taller I guess. 3: Introduce new characters: either representations of either iconic monsters and/or cryptids, or the remaining Nobles. Or perhaps do both by having the Noble houses each represent one of them. 4: Possibly bring Belial into the game. 5: Adjustable move set, or return some characters to their Nightwarriors rather than D3 moves. Possibly play like a VS game (which had basically the same mechanics only with greater aerial combat and speed). 6: Destructable environments, and perhaps environment interaction. 7: Keep the dark theme of course. 8: Possibly include a quest mode. 9: Alternate costumes available through points earned in the game, not as DLC you have to pay extra for, and not just alternate colors (but also include alternate colors). |

One thing I would like is a longer arcade mode. In Darkstalkers 3, you only went through seven fights, +2 if conditions had been met (Rival battle and Oboro Bishamon). Every Darkstalkers game prior to Darkstalkers 3 had an appropriately long arcade mode. The first game had the longest arcade mode (I think), but the arcade mode got shorter with each sequel (except for Vampire Savior/Hunter 2)

Looks like people are talking about how they want the game as well.
My opinion: Use the Street Fighter IV approach. Awesome gameplay. Super high quality stylized graphics. Keep it about the fights.

Keep the speed, keep the characters, keep the dark feel, develop and make the story clear(mostly relations w/ the characters). I'd like to see this in either SF IV style or HD sprites. Bring new characters into the game. An HD remix of the 1st Darkstalkers would be a damn good start I'd say. The idea of anime intros and endings may be a good thing to keep but develop it more than just a short cutscene that doesn't really explain much(not a 30 min episode but enough to where it makes sense and doesn't feel rushed.) The most important thing: If a new Darkstalkers is decided please make sure to keep the gameplay the same as it use to be. |

Not possitive if they will do this but do you think they would DMC Dante in this? I mean he is part demon and all. |

I would hope not, because one he isn't originally from Darkstalkers and this wouldn't be a VS game. Also it wouldn't come across well with some players, especially if he was put into the main roster or a hidden, making people think Capcom has no faith in the game carrying its own weight so has to tack on another popular character to bring in people. |

This is a copy and paste from the other thread I made. But since it's dead and too lazy to write more I'll just slap this in active threads. Okay so here are the characters that will be returning, and who are new to the cast. This is a working idea so bear with me. When a character has a star by them that means that they won't be in the storyline, but will be playable for fan service.
RETURNING NIGHT WARRIORS COME TO RECLAIM POWER:
Morrigan/Lilith
Felicia
Anakaris
Zabel Zarock
Bulleta
Aulbath
Huitzil
Bishamon*- In Bishamon's ending, the guy he possessed has supposedly exorcised him. So I don't think the armor will be coming back in the story. But he is still liked a lot by Darkstalker fans so of course he should be put in to play as.
Jedah
Demitri
Q-Bee
Sasquatch
Gallon *- He is still searching for the wolf that knows the answer so he won't be as involved in the story. He's just there to push his skills to the limits as usual.
Victor*- Reason why I'm not sure but I think he dies in his ending after trying to revive the girl he's connected to. Like I said I think so correct me if wrong.

NEW NIGHT WARRIORS COME TO FIGHT FOR SUPREMECY:
Anita/Donovan- Donovan is an alternative costume just for fans to play with.
Pyron Bit- It is pretty much an offspring of Pyron who was left on another planet to grow if Pyron should be destroyed. It has now matured and has made it's way to Earth to continue Pyron's course of action.
Christopher Walken/The Prohecy Knockoff- This is pretty much just a character loosely based off of the antagonist off of the horror movie classic "The Prohecy". More details to come for this one. He kind of relates to Jedah personality wise. But Jedah is more as insane I want to save everyone no matter what the cost is as to I'm going to destroy everything because I was cast out with the humans.
Ichabod Crane/Headless Horseman Hybrid knockoff- I want Bishamon in the storyline but if Capcom does decide to do a 4th installment I don't know what kind of direction they'll take. So this character is Bishamon's replacement storyline wise. A random guy who wants revenge on a Class C Darkstalker for killing his great-grandfather. When he does avenge him the soul of the spectre decides to take over his body in retaliation, and uses him as a tool to wreak more havoc inside the soulless inhabitants of the forest it resides in waiting for more victims becoming stronger.
Experiment gone wrong/knockoff of the monster from Wes Craven's "Mind Ripper"- I don't think capcom has done a experiment gone wrong monster yet so that's where this character fits in. Escaping from a government base a creature of destructive magnitude has been terrorizing the countryside, and devouring people as it goes. Now it has found it's way to the dark ones. The experiment doesn't know what is friend or foe only that it has a hunger that must be stopped.
If anyone wants to contribute some character ideas do so. But make sure it hasn't been done yet or that it doesn't relate to the characters.
Vampire Ressurrection Fighting System
The main goal of the fighting mechanics for this installment is to give it a hybrid vibe of playing Vampire, Vampire Hunter, Vampire Savior, and Vampire Savior 2. Vampire Hunter 2 didn't really do much to advance the series. So you can obtain the style of play that all fans of the series can come back to yet still have a freshening new element added to it.
In order to do this, it must have the most important aspects in each system to blend it into a satisfactory design that casual as well as the hardcore will be attracted to. Vampire: The Night Warriors had chain combos into special which was very simple to do. Example: Light, Medium, Fierce -> Chaos Flare.
Vampire Hunter brought Pursuits, Es Pursuits, and a ew special metre bar. But most important characters had their own individual ability specials exp Morrigan's mirror image, Gallon's after image, etc. Vampire Savior did the most to advance the series for presentation though. A whole new heath bar which recovers depending on damage, Dark Force which was basically the revision to the abilities from Hunter but now everybody has it and a new round placement mechanic was thrown in that had a resemblance to Killer Instinct round settings.
Vampire Savior 2 they made a 3rd revision to the Dark Force system. The Dark Force now is a ability that's worth 2 stock of meters to do. It enchances a character's Es and Ex moves to make them more dangerous is a shared mechanic. As for the character personal abilities, they are now as they were in Vampire Hunter. DS4 for E3 Baby!
Everyone give support for Four Players option aka Cross Fever for Tatsunoko vs Capcom: UAS update for the console version. Go to the Tatsunoko general discussion and ask for this.
