Difficult to say for sure though. you're right. at the end of Nightwarriors the samurai Bishamon freed himself of the armor. The story in Darkstalkers 3 is that the armor and sword working together had enough power to create a phantom body to link them and fight. The end has the Samurai return to seal it inside a rock, but its only sealed not destroyed, so just need another greedy warrior searching for power to let them out again. Kinda like how the character was used in the Darkstalkers comics by Udon, almost like the Witchblade from TopCow, passed down by warriors through out the ages (only they made Hannya and Kien more equal oppertunity than the Witchblade LoL). a female Bishamon would be a new character, but still basically be the same. Not sure how much the armor could change to fit the host though if they went that route.
