The character is cute in appearance, but is evil and wants to destroy everything Jigglypuff from Wolf's Retarded Mission is a good example: (Just to warn you, there is some swearing and other innapropriate lines in the video)

You really do love those "Wolf" adventures haha^^. Jigglypuff was one of my favorite Pokemon ^-^. I wonder what kind of "cutsey" character could fill the space? A bunny-type thing?

isn't Sasquatch kind of a joke character? a bunny-girl...hmm, makes me think of Alice from Bloody Roar. But it would step all over Felicia's bit, Morrian=Sexy, Felicia=cute. which is funny, according to the Graphic file they had intended at first to do it the other way with a sexy cat-girl and cute vampire girl. but come to decision to make her a succubus they made Morrigan "sexy" and Felicia "cute" we got the rest of the female cast later. But Felicia still stays the "cute" one. a bunny girl might work but with Felicia around and Jon Talbain end up as a kind of....odd inuendo gag. Not sure a "weak joke" character like Dan really fits. Dan worked in Street Fighter because he was a parody of characters from a simular rival game from SNK which ripped of some Street Fighter designs. who would Darkstalkers joke about? each character is an amalgam of their classic/cliche sources mixed with unique style and flare. |

Can't really call Jiggly a joke when some of the best players use it. Anyway, I agree with Rhuen, you can't really make an effective joke character unless you have something you're making fun of. SF had an obious target in SNK's Art of Fighting for Dan, for Darkstalkers, we need to find something along the same lines.
I support a new (or remixed) Darkstalkers game!

This topic got overshadowed in the main thread by "Cross-Edge" talk. and fits better here anyway. Okay, if Capcom did a poll contest to decide what "monsters" to make three new characters (1: Male, female and no-gender/Androgenous) what would you vote for. I thought of this thanks to this thread and the other one threads, people describe all sorts of monsters. Now keeping in mind that the end-result could end-up very different from their folklore/horror/mythological origins in apperance and personality (just look at Hsien-Ko as evidence of that) what would you vote for. well I would hope they would provide a poll, for their own decided choices, but lets think of this like a round one: nominations. So nominate at most three monsters for each group, and at least one for me. Male: Chupicabra, Mothman, Lizardman Female: Lamia, Witch, Centipede Woman None/either: Slime, Plant Monster, Tentacle Horror |
