At first I dismissed Your Powerstone reference/tie-in.. Then I had a few brainstorms concerning Your idea while I was reading the other post after Yours; and "if done right" ... a powerstone like video game with a mixture of Capcom only characters from many different video games could & will work extremely well!

Well why do I stress "if done right".. Powerstone within it's self is a very good type of video game, however it wasn't a great video game (pardon me), powerstone is missing a few "minor elements" that would make any future powerstone or powerstone-like video game out shine all other video games in it's same class. The two that I will mention freely is "slightly larger characters" and SFIV like camera effects (ultra).

Now My question is; should the above concept be developed before or after a Street Fighter/Darkstalkers or Rival Schools combination video game ?

Awesome idea- I just posted about this same thing over in the "Capcom Fighting All-Stars" thread...

Capcom needs to take this idea and make an all new game.  Everyone wants to see MvC3 and a US release of Tatsunoko vs Capcom, both of which don't seem to be logistically possible.  All I really like about those games (with the possible exception of a few, choice Marvel fighters) is the Capcom roster.  Capcom should just make an awesome fighting brawl (or maybe even a 3rd person action title) and include of every Capcom character imaginable.  Street Fighter, Resident Evil, Onimusha, Devil May Cry, Devil Kings, Mega Man, Dino Crisis, Dead Rising, Chaos Legion, Strider... every character you can think of from every Capcom franchise ever available.

So yes, I'm entirely on-board with this idea.  Ready the petitions...

Well, maybe not every single character- I really didn't mean literally every character- but all the major characters.  Looking at MvC2 and Tatsunoko vs Capcom, there's a pretty good representation of a lot of major Capcom players.  I've seen Soki from Onimusha: DoD in the Tatsunoko screenshots and Jill from Resident Evil is in MvC2.  Considering these games have around 50 playable characters, if they were including solely Capcom fighters, there could be quite a few.  I'm not saying we need to see the merchant from RE4 or Sherry Birkin from RE2, but there's no reason that the majority of the playable characters and important villains from most of those franchises couldn't be included in such a game...
