strider,darkstalkers are possibility,but the most likely is strider since it a popular ip and they is idea to ressurect it already.

Onimusha: Dawn of Dreams 2 most likely?  I'm still holding out hope for Darkstalkers, Rival Schools, Strider or Power Stone.

But my bet is that they would make the series closer to capcom mature games in term of look to appeal to a larger,more mature audience.Also a reboot is a strong possibility because im not sure many would follow the entity that is darkstalkers.

Darkstalkers is a fan favorite. Everytime it pops up they get swarms of rabid fans grabbing it up. Not as a big a name as Street Fighter, but long over-do for a new game.

Heck people will look at games they normally wouldn't have like Cross-Edge, because Darkstalkers got put in it. They are the shadowy cross-over characters, the hidden characters. and ready to step out of this role and re-unite together for a new game.

"not a reboot" and is an established capcom IP. Means sequal to me, although as much as I love Darkstalkers I'm still smelling Okami 2 from this.
