^ It wasn't random.   Your character outcome depends heavily on the school, the characteristics and I forgot what else.  Those options had alot to do with how your character turned out. Also the order you learn your moves in was very important.  The hard part really was writing all the characteristics, specials and burning vigors down for refference lol.

Man I want Project Justice 2!

I think they should either make a sequel, or bring Project Justice to PSN/XBLA - but this time with the bonus disc Japan got.

Ooh!  I loved that custom-character creator board game!

It was random as poop though! lol

I ended up with characters with the best moves in the game, and some with no special moves and one Burning Vigor Attack. Stuff was wild.

I liked the board game but I liked the school sim in the first game and Seishun Nikki 2 just a little bit more.

Was all this stuff in the Japanese release. I don't remember any of thisCry

Yeah, Capcom removed the School Life sim & character creation from the US versions of Rival Schools & Project Justice. Read about it on Wiki.

Project Justice is my favorite fighting game that uses 3D models. I know they left it open for a sequel, so there might still be hope. Also, Batsu is in TvC, which is pretty awesome.

Having a new Rival Schools with the character creation would be great.

Well with regards to actually moving around on the board and stuff and hoping to land on one of the good squares, it was completely random in that regard. Heck, I ended up with some really barebones characters after a couple days of play. And other times I'd make some really good ones really quickly 'cause I'd get lucky with landing on the right squares. That's why I liked it a bit better in Evolution and Seishun Nikki 2 where it was the Burning Youth Diary mode instead of the board game.

I don't have too much trouble now with the options under the command squares (my name for them) since I can at least read some Japanese now, but before it was kind of a pain.

It was even more random for me, seeing as how I was playing without knowledge of the japanese language.

I made this freakishly awesome character by accident though, had some swimming hits, had Hayato's wooden sword (some moves of his and some moves from Hyo), and a bunch of other awesome stuff.  The best thing about it all was that they somehow all combo'ed into each other.  I made a really awesome combo I'd use to beat down my friends.

Reminds me of this custom-character tournament I heard of once, I'd love to see that kind of thing again if I could find it.
