We're never going to get a great remake of RE2.


 



Capcom knows we want it, knows that we would pay money for it. However, they are content with phoned in stuff like Umbrella and Darkside Chronicles. They are basically taking assets from previous RE games, reconfiguring them into a railgun game and reselling it; less work + lotsa money = never getting a good RE remake-style redux of RE2.

Theres been numerous threads on this but anyway. I played the origional RE 2 in 1998 when I was like 5 and it has since been my favorite game of all time but I just don't think Capcom is gonna make a Remake....SOON. I think they'll release it but not for a long time..

I haven't played any version of RE 2. How saad is that? I went from the original straight to Code Veronica on Dreamcast.

I played the beginning of 2, but without a PSX I couldn't play more than the demo. Then I got a DC and beat RE Code Veronica... Funny enough I own RE 2 on the DC and the Gamecube.. just haven't gotten around to playing it and I haven't beaten 0 or 1.
