Hey guys, I've made my own sigs for Darkstalkers, one with the American and Japanese name of the title and Dante for Darkstalkers Signature but I couldn't make it smaller. Here you go guys for the Darkstalkers fans out there
![]() I'm glad that Morrigan A created this topic to get Capcom's attention. If you can read this Mr. Ono, please let us Capcom fighting fans interview you about the return of Darkstalkers. If you guys at Capcom can give us a chance. Plus I want to do a Zangief's Ultra Screw Pile Driver on Felicia when we get another Capcom crossover game. It would please me very well. |

hi there
i am a huge darkstalker fan and my first aproach to the series was the OVAs i am relaly puzzled about how Capcom forgett this series. if we dont count the PSP title, the last game was eleased 10 years ago  !!! even soo, characters like morrigan or lilith keep apearing everywere in shape of fan art or toys, this is a perfect proof that Darkstalkers is still popular i hope they give a try to the game, in the figth genre, darkstalkers is very unique |

Darkstalkers doesn't appeal to enough people.I love it but..it will never match Street Fighter.

^ That can be changed depending on the success of SFIV. Afterall, Darkstalkers was created from the hands of the SF creators and was very popular when it first came out. So if SFIV proves to be a success (not just financially, but critically) fans and non-fans alike can rest assure knowing that those mighty hands can bring this under-rated and dormant fighter back to life. With the new technology Capcom has under their sleeves it'll be a real pleasure to see these characters reinvented in modern generation PS3/360 graphics.

I put a lot of ideas into this thread:
http://www.capcom.com/BBS/showthread.php?t=26836 I didn't realize there was already a current Darkstalker thread elsewhere. |

I really think some of the fundamental problems with Darkstalkers being successful were
1) The sprites and the fighting system really didn't advance far beyond Super Street Fighter II: Turbo or Street Fighter Alpha 1. It was sort of an inferior fighting game as a whole. 2) There weren't nearly enough characters in the game that made a large variety of young gamers say 'ooo! I want to play him/her!'. Their most appealing characters were females and the male characters... well you had an 50-year old Werewolf, two old suit-wearing men, a boring as hell vampire hunter, a fish-man, a zombie, a Frankenstein's monster and the rest of the male characters were barely sympathetically human. 3) A number of the more appealing characters had extremely difficult to use fighting styles that weren't very intuitive and were quite annoying to use. I've never figured out how exactly one is supposed to use Felicia, Zabel, Victor or Aulbath very effectively compared to Jedah, Pyron or Phobos. I absolutely LOVE the premise of the game, but the execution did leave something to be desired. But, still, after the Reisdent Evil, Onimusha and Devil May Cry series, I am sure that Capcom could make an absolutely wicked new Darkstalkers game. |
