Personally I would like to see a new BoF on the Wii with a more hands on approch to the battle system. Definitely not railed like Umbrella Chronicles although it was good. Maybe similar to Dragon Quest sword motion sensing style. I would love to see the Gene system or something similar for changing to a Dragon again.

The Gene system was cool but I would like to see a big upgrade or a new approach and on the Wii thing I can see that working with BOF 5 battle system or real time but Wii motions would be pointless if it stayed on turn based unless you have example

I see what you mean if it were turn based that would be kind of odd. But I do think they could do a good Wii BoF game if they wanted to. Although with new RPGs they don't tend to be a turn based so it might work anyway. Like Final Fantasy XII it was a good non-turnbased game that seemed like it could be able to have implimented Wii controlls.

OMG!!! a new BOF might be comming!!! and it if it is it will be made by Camelot(Golden Sun Fame). Heres what they had to say:
“ Its possible to start planning for titles such as the Breath of Fire Series. As I mentioned earlier, the number of titles we can develop is quite limited so we like to consider what people want the most in order to determine the next title for development”. It looks like the reason they havnt starrted was because they lost a crucial member of there RPG team, but they rebuilt the team which means high hope of a new BOF!!!, heres the address to the link: www.destructoid.com/a-new-breath-of-fire-title-a-possibility--92343.phtml

Keep Camelot away from Breath of Fire. I like to play my games not sit through rows and rows of pointless dialog. Golden Sun 1 & 2 are horrible. |

Hey man, the Golden Suns were awesome! Also Camelot made the Awesome Shining the Holy Arc and Shining Force 3 games. Camelot is quite possibly my favorite RPG development company along with Tri Ace and NamcoT.

First Camelot has built themselves a good reputation, I trust them to handle the series probably alittle more than Capcom because they know RPGs Capcom hasn't develop a RPG in awhile so I think they might mess.
GUNHED you like tri-Ace too? tri-Ace is also one of my if not favorite developers, with Star Ocean being my favorite RPG series, im a huge fan of Namco too

I'ld love to see a new breath of fire game, but a dated turn based system won't do it for me. I never played dragon quarter, I was absolutely turned off by it just looking at the box. |
